An amazingly talented superstar who has won the Golden Globe, Academy, & Emmy Awards -- That is Ann-Margret!
Ann-Margret is truly an amazing all-around superstar! A Swedish superstar. She has twice been nominated for an Academy Award, won five Golden Globe Awards, and received five Emmy nominations.
She was born in Sweden Ann-Margret Olsson and came to the United States at the age of 5. In the 1960s, she was described as a "sex kitten" along with the blonde Joey Heatherton.
In the fast-paced sixties, she soon was known simply as Ann-Margret, dropping her last name of Olsson. And, not so simply, she also was gaining recognition as a "superstar sex symbol."
What's to love about Ann-Margret

Ann-Margret is the consummate performer who had been referred to as the "female Elvis." Beautiful, intelligent, and talented, she has managed to survive the fast-paced 1960s, to have a career that is active even today!
For those of you who are not familiar with Ann-Margret's early career, please do check out some of her earlier performances.
In August 2007, she began shooting in a new film, The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond. Imagine this, she plays the part of a spinster aunt who controls her family's fortune, until she loses a diamond.

Ann-Margret Olsson was born in Sweden but immigrated to the U. S. when she was very young. Her famous romance with Elvis Presley notwithstanding, she is an extraordinarily talented actress, having received two Oscar nominations (for "Carnal Knowledge" and "Tommy"). In 1972 a devastating accident in Vegas almost ended her career, but she came back like a champ. NOTE 8/30/09: I've created a new channel called "SundroidHD", focusing on HD videos. Roger LaVerne Smith (born December 18, 1932) is an American television and film actor and scriptwriter.
A debonair and handsome leading man in his youth, Smith was born in South Gate, California, the son of Dallas and Leone Smith. When he was six, his parents enrolled him into a stage school; there he took singing, dancing and elocution lessons. He was educated at the University of Arizona at Tucson on a football scholarship. He won several amateur talent prizes as a singer and guitarist.
He served with the Naval Reserve in Hawaii. After a chance meeting with the actor James Cagney, he was encouraged to try a career in Hollywood. Cagney had also encouraged other young actors, including Don Dubbins, for whom he found roles in two 1956 films.
