True Blood
Anna Paquin is to take the lead role in a new HBO show from Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball called True Blood. Ball is an Oscar-winning screenwriter and the show, adapted from the novel by Charlaine Harris, is about vampires in Lousiana at a time in the future when they are an accepted part of society. Anna has been cast as a telepathic waitress and love interest of the chief vampire.
