Announcement parties can be as complicated or as simple as you like but one thing you need to do if you plan on having a party is get the word out - send out invitations. A quick, easy way to do this that also provides lots of fun before and after the event is to create your own Announcement parties web page. Give the details of the party on this page as well as adding photos, video clips, music, and whatever else you wish. Use it to collect RSVP's and also get people talking before the party (and provide a means for them to keep in contact afterwards).

Unfortunately, not all occasions really deserve an announcement party, so when is it the correct time to have one of those announcement parties? Here are a few special events you may want to celebrate with announcement parties:

First Engagement: Have you just got engaged for the first time? Then you definitely deserve to have an announcement party. People love babies and they love celebrating the little one but if you are going to be having a baby shower then maybe just put your announcement online when you're pregnant, once again, too many parties can actually spoil things for people.

Promotion Parties: Have you just received a huge promotion at work? Small promotions may not be worthy of announcement parties but if you have just become the CEO or President of your company or a Regional Manager then by all means throw an announcement party and celebrate this great achievement with your friends and family.

These are just a few guidelines for throwing announcement parties - just remember not to over-do it but by all means celebrate life-changing moments and great achievements with your friends and family.
