An Ode to Valentines Day

It all began upon that day,

You walked by and glanced my way.

Looking into your eye's so blue,

I realized just what I must do.

As my heart began to thump and pound,

My head it swirled and spun around.

Butterflies inside at once did flutter,

At the words that I should utter.

But the words just would'nt come,

my heart still beating like a drum.

Then came the night of loves first kiss,

Two hearts filled with joy and bliss.

Our soles soaring, like wings upon a dove,

Realising in a moment, we are so in love.

We hug and hold each other tight

and never want to part each night

So even when we're old and grey,

We two will always feel this way.

My darling Valentine I love you !

Your eye's shimmer and Sparkle like the moon upon the sea,

Your hair shines just like the sun atop a red wood tree.

Your lips are redder than any precious ruby stone,

Yet inside i know you sometimes feel so all alone.

All I can offer to you is my love,my heart,my sole,

To love you and to cherish you is to be my only goal.

I gaze at you and think that you are way beyond my reach,

To you I'm but a grain of sand upon a lonely beach.
