An Officer and a Gentleman (Special Collector's Edition)

A good character study of a boy who grew under the wing of a moral-less father and still had the balls to make something of himself and his life. Richard Gere is hot and sexy as the naval aviator in training. Winger's character can grate on your nerves a bit but you warm up to what her character stands for. I've seen this movie over one hundred times and each time I'm just as interested as the first. I still cry at the ending. Lots of swearing both in dialogue and in the catchy songs. One of the best films of all time.

Go ahead, disagree. I dare you.

An Officer And A Gentleman is the best movie ever.

Girl Movie or Guy Movie?

There's a lot of nudity, swearing and basic training scenes for guys.

papawu says:

I think it has all the elements to be able to satisfy both.

There's the whole girl falls in love, lets love go and love comes to carry her away theme for chicks.

LanaBoom says:

I think men and women can both enjoy this movie but it's probably more of a chick flick than a guy flick.
