Ask for and Receive Anonymous Feedback Easily
On this page I'm featuring five great websites where you can ask for and receive anonymous feedback. They all are free (and in alphabetical order).

Contents at a Glance
1. BetterMe
Say what you really think.
BetterMe is a professional tool to ask for and receive anonymous feedback. BetterMe is used at more than 1,000 companies, including CafePress, Disney, Microsoft, and Nestlé. BetterMe has tons of useful and great features, including:- Nice interface (Easy to navigate and looks good.)
- Address book
- Usefulness ratings ("Your usefulness rating measures how useful people find your feedback. It's based on other users' ratings of your feedback. The scale is 1-5.")
- Many options when giving feedback
- Dashboard with delicious pie-charts and graphs
2. Failings
What do people think of me, really?
While BetterMe is quite private and serious platform for anonymous feedback, Failings is more social. At Failings you can create a public (as well as a private) profile where people (including you) can comment the feedback you have got - but only if you want so. You can keep the feedback private, too. This feature is really nice and to my knowledge unique to Failings: you can sort the received feedback in three categories:
- I knew this about me
- I had no idea
- I totally disagree
3. Say at Me
Have a say at me.
The interface of Say at Me is really plain and simple, and the idea of the service is as easy as 1-2-3:- Register to get a personal feedback url (http://sayat.me/username)
- Promote the url so that people can leave you private feedback
- You can publish feedback you like and let people comment the published feedback
4. Three Words
Get three words about yourself.
The idea behind Three Words is unique and rather creative. Like the name Three Words suggests, the idea is this: you can see what others think about you (or your photos) in three words. Three Words describes itself as an- easy,
- fun and
- addictive way to get an honest opinion about yourself from your peers!
5. What is wrong with me?
Want to know what people really think of you?
The website layout (and the used font) at What is wrong with me? suggests that this service is approaching anonymous feedback in the least serious way. But anonymous feedback doesn't always have to be so serious, does it?I like that there's no need to register in order to give feedback. That's why just everyone can give feedback. These features are only at What is wrong with me?:
- Support for exotic languages (Chinese etc.)
- Fancy layout
- Tongue-in-cheek attitude

BONUS: Squidoo
Everyone likes bonuses
Right, everyone likes bonuses? Here's one for you: Squidoo. Squidoo isn't essentially meant for getting anonymous feedback, but it's still suitable for that. How? And what exactly is Squidoo?
What is Squidoo?
I'll make this short. Squidoo is a more-than-awesome place where everyone (yes, that includes you!) can write short (and long) pages about virtually anything. We call them "lenses." Once you have published at least one lens, you'll be called "a lensmaster." Here are five good reasons to join Squidoo:
- Write lenses (articles/pages) to share your knowledge and make people happy.
- It's 100% free (no credit card required ;-).
- You'll be called a lensmaster. Cool!
- You can have fun.
- Last, but not the least, you can earn money (without investments). For you or for charity.
How to ask for and get anonymous feedback at Squidoo?
It's very easy. As easy as 1-2-3-4:
- Create a lens
- Add a guestbook module
- Allow everyone (not just logged in Squidoo members) to comment
- Get (anonymous) comments

- Interesting websites which I've never heard of (besides Squidoo, of course). Which one has worked best for you? Do you find it worth getting feedback? I guess, it also works as a goo backlink (i.e. if those websites have a good page rank).

- Actually, I haven't used any of them very much, but I think that:
- BetterMe is, like stated, professional tool and therefore good for serious feedback (i.e. suitable for businesses).
- Say at Me might be good for serious feedback as well, but maybe not that good for businesses.
- For not-so-serious feedback I'd say that Feelings is the best. It might also work for serious feedback as well.
- I find Three Words as quite naive and targeted mostly for teens and so.
- What is wrong with me? is naive as well, or not very serious at least.
Getting anonymous feedback can be both fun and genuinely beneficial. If you have the chance to get serious anonymous feedback, I'd say it can really be worth.

- Interesting breakdown! I guess it all depends on what you're looking for feedback on, and to what purpose, eh? I should imagine it might require developing a bit of a thick skin, in some cases, too.
