Anti Candida Diet Recipes and Tips

Boy oh boy.

Being on a Candida diet is massively hard work isn't it?

Not only do we have to cope with not having any food, but most of the anti Candida diet recipes that are floating around are soooo time consuming and expensive - I mean come on....millet, quinoa and buckwheat? I don't know what they cost where you live, but where I live it is completely unreasonable to buy them as a permanent thing.

I'll let you in on another secret....I'm actually a crappy cook.
Seriously.

If it needs anything other than cutting up and throwing into a container to cook, then I'll stuff it up - guaranteed!

So I needed anti Candida diet recipes that were easy, cheap and quick - Here's what I came up with......

Anti Candida Diet Recipes For Breakfast

Breakfast was always going to be a toughie.

Our standard breakfast for the last 10 years had been crushed wheat biscuits with milk and yogurt, so what could we do to replace that?

For our breakfast anti Candida diet recipes we have three options;

1. Scrambled Eggs
Take two eggs,
1/4 cup of water
and whisk until well blended.

From there you can either pan fry until cooked or microwave in 2 minutes intervals - mixing in between - until cooked.
Add a big dollop of pure butter at the end and mix in thoroughly.

For something a bit different add parsley, peppers, meat or other vegetables. You can also have this as a light lunch or dinner.

(Told you they were easy anti Candida diet recipes! The next two are really simple as well...)

2. Rolled Oat Porridge
Make porridge according to the instructions on the packet (using water - not milk).
Add flavor by;
Topping your rolled oats with unsweetened natural yogurt and cinnamon,
Adding grated apple, pear or berries to the mix.

3. Buy or make a whole grain muesli
Making your own wholegrain muesli can be really quick and easy depending on where you live.
Just throw together a handful of rolled oats, Amaranth, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, nuts.... in fact any of your 'allowed' solid foods will go well here.
Add a couple of pinches of cinnamon or allspice.
Serve with yogurt and fruit.
(psst - If you want to be a bit sneaky, then add a few pieces of dried pineapple, papaya, cranberry or other dried berries - only after stage one of course!)

If buying muesli make sure that you read the ingredients carefully - most commercial brands contain some sort of sugar.

Anti Candida Diet Recipes For Lunch/Dinner

This is where the fun really begins.......

All I do is make a massive batch of two of the following and what we don't have for lunch, we have for dinner.

Each meal starts off plain, but when we serve up we add flavoring.....just watch......

Essential Anti Candida Diet Recipes

Salads, Stir fries and Soups

Beef stir fry, chicken soup or tuna salad all it takes is a minute to create a masterpiece!

Salad
One of the cheapest and fastest meals to prepare out of all the anti Candida diet recipes is a basic salad.

Simply throw together a couple of chopped peppers, a sliced cucumber, an avocado or two and mix in half a shredded lettuce and viola!
The real trick here is to change the flavor each time that you serve it up. Add lamb and minted yogurt one serving, tuna and lemon juice the next, chicken, cottage cheese and lemon juice on another.

Try a Stir Fry
Start with your basic oil, garlic, ginger and onion mix and cook until the onion is clear. The add your slower cooking veges like broccoli and cauliflower. Next add your celery and zucchini type veges. Top it all off with a couple of your leafy greens.

Like your salad, this will give you a great base to work from when you add your meat and other flavors.

Soup
Everyone has their favorite soup recipe and vege soups are super easy. Make a big batch but don't season it just yet - as with the stir fry and the salad - wait until you are ready to dish up before adding meat and/or flavors.

Here's a quick example;
( I won't put in measurements because everyone has their favorite veges - but this will give you an idea of what to do).

Slice up
onion,
celery
cabbage,
cauliflower
broccoli
zucchini
leeks

Pop them all in a pot cover with water and simmer for around 10 minutes or until the veges are tender.

For variation add tomato paste, garlic, basil, thyme, oregano and shredded cooked beef.
Add lentils, Moroccan spices and lamb.
Add chicken, salt and pepper, ginger.......
