While the title to this site is "Anti-fur Activist Eat Meat", it will deal with all types of hypocrites. The first batch of hypocrites that we discuss just happens to be activist and others who crusade for halting the use of furs in order to protect animals, yet have no problem sitting down to a meal that includes meat.
For all of you Anti-fur Activist who are vegan I say, "Keep up the good fight"!
We'll be adding articles on 'Hypocrisy' regularly so if your looking for something to read, why not stop back.

I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur
Many who protest this practice are sincere in their desire to protect animals. However, I find it very hypocritical to claim that obtaining fur from animals is more cruel than killing animals for food. As I stated above, "If you are a vegetarian and protest the use of animals for fur, more power to you. I admire your dedication".
Two long-running campaigns are "Here's the rest of your fur coat", and "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur", in which supermodels appeared nude to express their opposition to wearing fur. Singers Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Shirley Manson have posed for this cause. In May 2006, they held a naked protest near St Paul's Cathedral in London to highlight the use of real bear fur in the Bearskins used by the Foot Guards.
PETA severed its relationship with some of the models when they continued to wear fur. In 1997, Naomi Campbell wore a fur coat during a Milan fashion show after appearing in a 'Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur' advertisement. Other models PETA has ended its relationship with are Kate Moss and Cindy Crawford.
PETA has held notable public protests in London and Hong Kong against Burberry's use of fur in some of its products.

You Can't Smoke!
But I can drive, work in factories and drink!
How can you ban my smoking because it "might" affect your health in ten or twenty years by causing you to breath in second-hand smoke, yet think that it's all right to sit there drinking yourself stupid; then going out and killing me with your car?
How can you think that my smoking is bad for you, yet think that driving down the highway at seventy miles an hour while using your cell phone is harmless?
Is "maybe" dying in ten or twenty years worse than dying immediately?
Talk about being a hypocrite!

No! It's just another freedom we're losing. Non-smokers don't have to hang by me if it bothers them.

A little about this site.
As I said in my profile, I enjoy collecting and since I retired I've found that building these lenses is a great way to stay busy; And, I hope that I'm helping some of you out by gathering information on your favorite subject and putting it all in one place so you don't have to spend hours searching for it.
I spend part of my time designing t-shirts and buttons to help supplement my social security because, as many of you know, it's pretty difficult to make it on social security. My on-line t-shirt shop is called Dene's Place after my wife.
My "retirement" came a few years earlier than I would have liked because they found that I have an inoperatable tumor about the size of a softball in my right pelvic area. They still don't know what to do about it because for now it has quit growing. One of those "leave it alone and see what happens" type things.
Anyway, if you've made it this far, I'd appreciate it if you would check out Dene's Place to see if there's anything that you might like for yourself or as a gift. It helps me pay the bills!
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out my other lenses when you have time.

I enjoy collecting! It doesn't really seem to matter what it is, if it's old I'll hang on to it. So, most of my lenses are about collecting.
