    I've been using AVAST home now for over 2 years and I have to say it is exceptional. Before this I had used McAfee and Norton and personally found neither of them came close, even though I had to pay for them. AVAST is free and the features you get with it could easily justify a $60 tag. You even get a sandbox now.

    I know I look old-fashioned but still prefer a combination of antivirus+antispyware (or, as they tend to call it now, anti-malware) from different makers. avast! antivirus works exceptionally well with SUPERAntiSpyware, for example.
