Antique Carnival Glass Plates, Vases,and Bowls Gain Value With Rising Prices
Many people who have antique carnival glass plates, vases and bowls laying in cupboards and lofts do not realize their true value, nor how rising prices have affected the market.
This is a bit of a shame to have this colorful glass not on display as there are many collectors who pay high prices to do so.
Antique carnival glass for anyone who is unfamiliar with it is an iridized pressed glass made mainly 1905 and the 1930s.
Carnival glass was made in many shapes, patterns and colors in useful everyday items and in different countries throughout the world.
While there are already a good number of antique carnival glass collectors, more and more people are becoming interested in this beautiful glass.
Hopefully both established and new collectors will find something of interest in these pages. Maybe even go through the cupboards and dig out their carnival glass antiques to again enjoy and value them.

Antique Carnival Glass - Where Was it Made?
Although the United States was the first producer of and the biggest producer of the now highly collected antique carnival glass, it was also made in Argentina, Australia, Czechoslovakia, England, Finland, Mexico and Sweden. Smaller amounts were also made in Belgium, France, Germany and Holland. You will find more detailed information further down the page about these countries and companies.

American antique carnival glass apart from being the first to be produced is by far the most abundant for collectors. So who were these American companies?
There were 5 big companies all in the United States of America who where responsible for the production of what we now refer to as, antique carnival glass. In alphabetical order they were,

*** Fenton of Williamstown West Virginia,
*** Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire Ohio,
*** Millersburg Glass Holmes County Ohio,

Carnival glass was finding popularity in Australia and in 1918 the Crystal Glass Works Ltd of Sydney began production.
In England the Sowerby Company and the Davidson Company both of Gateshead produced carnival glass long after the popularity had wained in the United States.
Mexico - Cristales De Mexico in Neovo Leon
