Financial experts predict that over the course of the next five years the price of silver is likely to rise by 1000 percent. During the last two years alone the price of scrap sterling has almost doubled and this price increase has filtered through to the antique silver market.
This lens is about how to buy and sell or collect antique silver as an investment and the potential profit. We have been buying and selling antique silver for several years both on and off eBay. Silver is a better investment than money in the bank and much more attractive to look at!

Far better to buy a piece of silver.
Although many financial gurus advise investing in silver by buying stocks or shares in silver companies or silver mining businesses - this is not something that the majority of people have the inclination (or cash!) to do. Better by far to buy an actual piece of silver.
Although quality pieces of antique silver can be worth many thousands of pounds it is quite possible to start in a small way. Cutlery (known as flatware) is one way. Small solid silver spoons can still be picked up for anything from £1 to £5 at fairs, markets or car boot sales.

- This site gives a daily price for scrap and non-scrap silver and gold in GBP US$ or Euros. These are not pie in the sky prices as if you go to Cooksons with a carrier bag full of silver (or gold) they will pay these prices.
