Vintage Roseville Bookends "Pine Cone" pattern
"Roseville "
Pine Cone Book Ends
"1935"
This is a very beautiful Pair of "Roseville" Pine Cone Book Ends. The Pine Cone pattern is one of the most sought after patterns which was produced in 1935. These are marked on the bottom "Roseville" it is incised on the bottom.

I have tried to get pictures of what appears to be damage which is not! This is a factory flaw if you look at it closely, it was in the piece when they glazed it. When you have it set up and you are using them you can not see it very easy, if at all. Other than that little flaw these are in very good condition, no wear, chips, cracks, fadeing of color, or flea bites. They are very nice!!

Antiques and Vintage Collections, selling on ebay
It's a shame we can't list any collectable on ebay!!!
I have many very nice collectable Items that I know any collector would want for the enhancement of there collection, and ebay has such great exposure, It's a shame that my self or any other person could not list it on ebay. After all the items are for a collection and you should be able to get them any way that you can legally!!
For instance I have got a german youth knife, it has a swastika on the handle, there for I can not list it on ebay. They do allow the same knife, with-out the swastika on it (it is replaced with a boy scout emble). So the only difference is the emble, this is definately not fair to sellers as well as the collector. I will try to put a photo of it on here. Please give me your feedback on this!!
If you are a collector of antiques or vintage items You might be interested in seeing what I have, or inquire in what I have in my shop. I just might have what you need or what you have been looking for. It is worth looking or asking about, as we do have a lot of rare and unusual pieces. We have been in this busness and collecting items for several years now, and being up this far north not many people venture up here. I don't know why because it is truly very beautiful during the summer months. So we don't get the traffic for a lot of are rare items, who knows you just might find what you have been looking for. Take a chance, it just might pay off!!

Popeye Advertising for Motorola
An Advertising Preimium for Motorola Televisions 1953

This is a nice "Popeye" tunic, mask, Dick Tracy comic book, and Motorola Advertisment in very good condition. This was a piece that Motorola gave to any person that had bought there product for some incentives, and survey of there product. Not many of these made it, because the children used them for halloween or just to play with. I do have the "Olive Oyl" tunic and mask also, it is a nice pair which are hard to find in this kind of condition. In the Shroeders Antiques price Guide it is priced at $160.00, for "Popeye" they did not have the "Olive Oyl" costume listed, in this issue. These are a few items that we have in our shop. If you have any concerns or questions Please ask.

Heisey "Ivorina Verde" berry bowl set
produced in the 1900's, custard glass
Here is another fun collection to start "Blob Top Bottles"
Nice Clean Blob Top Bottle,E.J MESSALL,CONCORDIA, KAS

The 22 is a bottle style number utilized by Illinois Glass Company (I.G.Co.). The faint 22 is generally referred to as a 'ghost' number, most likely caused when the bottle was being removed from the metal mold and briefly dropped back into the mold causing the extra 22. For more information about Hutchinson bottles, you might find the 'Hutchinson Bottle Sales Guide' page at www.SeattleHistoryCompany.com of interest.
This site has some very good advise for even the advanced collector.

Vintage Redwing Bean Pot
This Bean Pot was produced in or around "1894"

1 -Gallon
Here is a nice old marked Red Wing Pot produce and sold in "1894". It is the "Boston" Bean Pot in the 1-Gallon size, which I understand to be the most difficult to find.
There is no lid for this pot and the mounts for the wire bail is still in very good condition, but the wire bail it self is gone.It also has 5 little ding (I tried to get pictures of them) around the rim, they are very small chips mostly in the glaze and one little chip on the bottom of the handle. There is what seems to be a chip but its NOT, it is a factory (flaw) mistake, there was no glaze put on that spot. Otherwise it is good and solid, no cracks at all!! It measures 4 1/4" at the top, 8 3/4" across the bottom, and is 6 1/2" tall.
The price guide is surprisingly high (250.00- 300.00).

Antiques and collectibles price guide and refence
****very informative and educational****
Amazon does have some very good books on Antiques and collectables, price guide and reference. Although they have good pricing in these books I have found that they are a better reference to what you have. Being an antique shop owner I have come to except the fact that what the item is worth is what it actually sells for. The prices in these books are a reference as to what they have sold for in an auction, keep this in mind when or if you plan on selling any of your treasures. If you plan on selling them to a dealer a fair price is about 1/2 the price that you will see in the book. The dealer has got to make some money too!
I have used some of these books and found them to be very helpful more time than not. I would suggest any of these books to any one interested in either having a yard sale, selling to a dealer, or private collector.

There is so much Great information on Antiques now a days!
You just have to look for it!
There is so much Great information on antiques now days that it will make it much easier for some one to get into collecting!! There are two main thing one has to keep in mind is that when you start a collection be aware of reproductions, and any damage, you wouldn't want to get some thing that is fake or damaged for your own personal collection!! If it is a very rare piece then I would think long and hard about getting a slightly damaged piece, until I found the one that was not, just to have that complete set. But I would rather have a whole set that had no damage at all! If you are just starting a collection of any thing, you just might find it very helpful to get a referance book , most them will let you know about fakes, or reproductions, and give you some idea of the price!
