"But what about the "free" software thats available?"
Yes, there are many 'free' antivirus and internet security programs available over the internet. These are usually VERY basic and DO NOT provide as much protection as paid for software.
There is ALWAYS a catch - some of the software is badly written, some only update their virus definitions a month or 2 after new definitions are released, and some actually INFECT your computer with their own dubious software!
Could you really trust any 'free' software to provide the necessary antivirus and internet security?
