With our fast-paced lifestyle, changing weather, and a variety of other environmental properties and factors, it can be difficult to get a grasp on reality. The world of Web 2.0, with its increased interactivity with the rest of the world, has yet to increase the frequency and intensity of human connections. In fact, this highly digitalized and wired world has succeeded in alienating people even more from reality, and making people feel even more stressed, as though they are enslaved by technology rather than aided by it.
Even with research and more options for medication, anxiety and depression still run rampant in society. In general, anxiety refers to a group of disorders in which people feel often baseless fear or anxiety for certain things, ranging from mingling in large groups to invisible germs. Depression, on the other hand, is also a general term referring to a set of conditions that are characterized by changes in mood, in which people can feel "down," whether due to their appearance, current social situation, or career.
