Panic Disorder is when attacks of anxiety or terror occur periodically. Generally, they last anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Residual effects can last much longer. The diagnosis is determined by the severity and frequency of acute states of anxiety. It is important to know that panic attacks can happen in almost every type of anxiety disorder, not just panic disorder. Panic disorders occur when a person has at least two or more, unexpected attacks. The person fears, for at least a month, that another attack will occur. Phobic disorder is when irrational and overwhelming fears are common. There are several different types of phobias. Agoraphobia is when a person has a fear of open spaces. Social phobia is the fear of being publicly humiliated and scrutinized. Social phobia is manifested by shyness and being uncomfortable in social settings.
Specific phobias are when a person has an irrational fear of a specific situation or specific object. Among the most common specific phobias are fear of animals, heights, flying, water, confined spaces, injections and public transportation.
Basically those are the anxiety symptoms that are so common. Knowing these can help you know how to attack your anxiety and panic attack.
