Anxiety causes - Where to start?

Are you suffering from anxiety in which there's fear and worry? Then most likely it's stopping you from enjoying your life like you should do. Probably you're finding that there's always a nagging thought at the back of your mind stopping you from being peaceful. Maybe, you're not able to start anything without some kind of doubt or even trepidation. Perhaps you approach conversations, and interactions with new people, with some kind of fear. These are all symptoms of anxiety. But now, what are the causes?

Anxiety causes are both diverse and deep. Before concluding that you have anxiety, it would be wise to first recognize that there are several symptoms of anxiety that are really just the result of everyday stresses, pressures and strains. We all live in a hectic world and so there's bound to be experiences that are stressful and unpleasant as a result. It is only when the symptoms of anxiety are particularly forceful or are with you most of the time that there is cause for concern.

Just like any other condition, anxiety can be overcome both by understanding the causes as well as taking action to deal with those causes. It's when people just ignore the symptoms that anxiety starts to become an everyday condition of life, by which time when you do want to become free from anxiety it is bigger task than it would have been earlier.

Here are some common anxiety causes:

Pressure at work, in which you have to perform exceptionally well, is a cause for anxiety. In fact, in many companies there is so much stress and anxiety that the companies themselves provide therapy classes through which their employees can reduce or even get rid of their stress and anxiety.

Phobias, such as fear of small places, fear of open places, fear of people, fear of water, etc are anxiety causes that can lead to a great deal of tension. Although I have only listed a few phobias, there are a huge number of them, but fortunately there are also a variety of ways of overcoming them such as hypnotherapy, N. L. P., psychotherapy to name but a few.

Fear of rejection is a common cause of anxiety. This can also be seen as simply being afraid of being told: 'No'. Because of this, even just approaching people for a conversation can create unpleasant feelings. After a conversation, you can then still be thinking or wondering what the other person thought of you, which is naturally a cause of concern.

Physical anxiety causes are due to the release of hormones and chemicals into the bloodstream of our bodies. These chemicals are released in the first instance by an immediate reaction to external stimuli or to negative thinking on the basis of past experiences. Once these chemicals are in the bloodstream they have to take their course, and this is why many people find relaxation by physical exercises which help to remove these chemicals far quicker than they would do otherwise.

Other considerations about anxiety causes

One thing to bear in mind with anxiety is that in certain stressful situations, anxiety is a natural bodily response which can also be seen as part of the fight or flight response. In cases like that, not only is it normal but it can be quite essential as an early warning sign of danger.

One of the important anxiety causes that's not given much consideration is the fact that when we are young and at school there is very little education on how to deal with anxiety. So we end up leaving school with an academic education are not very well equipped to deal with the onslaught of pressures, tensions and difficult relationships that lie ahead. Although it may be too late for us as adults, we can help our children by giving them at least some kind of education about dealing with anxiety

In extreme cases of anxiety it can lead to a panic attack. Very often, panic attacks strike without warning, leaving you in a very distressed state of mind. The causes of panic attacks can be fear of an object or situation that other people appear unconcerned with. This is a sure sign that you are suffering from anxiety. Other anxiety causes, low self-esteem, depression, alcoholism and drug abuse. But, bear in mind that these reasons can also be the result of anxiety as well as the causes

In order to treat these anxiety causes, you need to be proactive. Start by having a healthy lifestyle and diet, which is more balanced, include relaxation techniques into your daily activity, and perhaps find a suitable therapy, through which you can ease anxiety out of your live. The main thing is to do something. You don't need to be a victim of anxiety.

If you think that you are suffering from anxiety then it is worth knowing which anxiety symptom you have that is a particular indicator for your anxiety.

When you just need to laugh

I'd Rather Laugh:
How to Be Happy Even When Life Has Other Plans for You

The author lost her father as a child, was raised by a powerfully dysfunctional mother, escaped from a vacuous marriage, and lost her only son to a car accident. Along the way, she was confined to her apartment for 11 years with phobias. After coaxing herself back into the real world and absorbing many motivational tapes and lectures, she became, you guessed it, an inspirational speaker. The resulting book, smoothly abridged in this audio, will urge you to cry when you need to, and to use laughter and trust in yourself when tragedies pile up. The inspiration here is good, though the tragedies may pile up on the listener
