Feeling anxiety while driving happens to everybody

It is important to remember that you are not the only person that feels anxiety while driving. Many others have experienced this from time to time and a lot still do. It is recognizing why we are anxious that will help us to relax and enjoy your driving experience once again. remember how good that felt? It is often the case of other road users that are making us feel anxious

Anxiety while driving caused by tailgating

anxious This is particularly nasty if you are being tailgated. It will make us anxious. We know that if we have too brake suddenly we are on a definite collision course as the driver behind won't be able to stop in time. Is this our fault. NO! This is why tailgating is particularly nasty. We can be as careful as humanly possible and the offending vehicle can cause all sorts of problems. Especially when you are constantly checking mirrors to see what is going on. Our attention is distracted from the road. In this scenario it is best to let the vehicle past as soon as it is safe to do so. Pull over in a safe place and allow them to pass. If this happens on a single lane carriageway then you won't have to stop. Indicate that you are pulling over to a stop and the vehicle behind should do a simple overtake. Just slow your vehicle down and allow them to pass safely. Then continue on your journey feeling more relaxed that they're gone from your mirrors.

The Car that causes anxiety

anxious with an expensive carWhile there is a lot of distraction on the road the most overwhelming cause for us to feel anxiety at the wheel is value of the vehicle. How often have you spent a wad of cash on a vehicle and take it on the road constantly worrying about scrapes and bashes. Leaving parking spaces in case you accidentally get a scrape on the new car, when the older one we wouldn't have thought twice about getting the car into the space. Quite often it is the value of the vehicle we worry about damaging as we have to explain what happened to others and perhaps if it is something stupid we would just be a laughing stock.

Hello from a Squidoo Greeter! great subject...without letting go of the fact that someone is tailgating me, I pretend that person is not behind me and if possible moved over. I use to have road rage in California, but gave it up cause it did not serve a purpose and only made it more dangerous.
