APERITIVO

Aperitivo or aperitif is any alcoholic, or non-alcoholic drink served before a meal to stimulate the appetite. This can range from a glass of wine or prosecco to a more sophisticated cocktail. In France popular aperitifs are Pastis or Anisette, while in Italy vermouths are more popular (such as Martini or Campari). Aperitivo should be served with some snacks to avoid or limit the negative effect of alcohol on your stomach. In this lens I will show you how easy it is to organize your own aperitivo at home and impress your guests!

APERITIVO PARTY

An aperitivo party is so much better than a dinner party... in fact everyone will be happy including yourself as you won't have to cook!!

It is easy to make your own aperitivo party in your apartment or better in your garden if you are lucky enough to have one! You can accompany your drinks with small cups filled with peanuts, olives, sundried tomatoes, capers, crisps, gerkins and a few toothpicks on the side for people to help themselves.

You can then prepare easy snacks (that you will present on a tray) using sliced bread as a base decorating the topping according to your taste. For example I like topping the bread with ham, salad, cheese and mayonnaise, or cocktail sauce and prawns, salmon and white cheese... the combinations are endless.
