iTunes 10.5 Beta 8 and iWorks for iOS Beta 3 already!

Just as I posted my last article, I find out that iTunes 10.5 Beta 8 and iWorks for iOS Beta 3 was released.
This is the first time an iTunes Beta releasing without a new version of iOS 5 releasing. The difference with this iTunes is iTunes Match is included, as iTunes 10.5 Beta 7 didn't.
I will have an article on iTunes Match soon.
iWork Beta 3 for iOS was also released, which is a new app that Apple will release for iOS, that includes Pages, Numbers and Keynote. It's basically iWorks for iOS.
Let me know what you think of iTunes 5 Beta 8 and iWorks for iOS Beta 3.

iOS 5 Beta 7 (Includes Changes)

Every few weeks Apple releases a new beta version of iOS 5 to developers, and Apple just released iOS 5 Beta 7. As always Apple has fixed many new bugs, but more are to come.
iOS 5 Beta 7 is available through an Over-the-Air Update from an iDevice or by downloading and updating through iTunes. To do an Over-the-Air Update go to Settings, click on General and then Software Update. If you would like to download it on a computer and update through iTunes you can download from the Developer Page from Apple or somewhere else.
Apple has integrated all features iOS 5 into iOS 5 Beta 7, which includes:
· Notification Centre
· iMessage
· Twitter
· PC Free
· Newsstand
· Reminders
· Camera Features
· Photo Features
· Safari Features
Now here is the complete change log:
§ Accounts
§
§ When creating an iCloud account, you can use any Apple ID as long as it is a full email address and not a MobileMe account. If you have a MobileMe account, you can move that account to iCloud. You can find more information on iCloud at: http://developer.apple.com/icloud
§
§ Airplay
§
§ Starting in iOS 5, video content in applications and websites are AirPlay-enabled by default.
§ iOS 5 supports AirPlay of video via AV Foundation.
§
§ API Validation
§
§ NEW: Starting in iOS 5.0 development tools beta 7, it is possible to extract APIs used by an application and have them checked for private APIs usage. This option will be offered at Validation time.
Apple TV
§ Apple TV Software beta enables users to mirror the contents of an iPad 2 to an Apple TV (2nd generation) using AirPlay. This beta software also enables Photo Stream on Apple TV so users can access photos stored in iCloud. Apple TV Software beta is being provided to test the latest AirPlay functionality with your iOS 5 apps and web sites. If you wish to install Apple TV Software beta on your device, you must first register your device UDID in the iOS Developer Program Portal.
§ Slideshow settings are not remembered for slideshow playback (always plays back in Reflections theme). Screen savers settings are behaving properly.
§
§ Binary Compatibly
§
§ On applications linked against the iOS 5.0 SDK, scroll view content offsets will no longer be rounded to integral pixels during a pinch gesture.
Calender
§ Birthday calendars are not currently available via the iCloud.com website or in Windows. They will be available in a future release.
§
§ Core Image
§
§ Several filters have been added since beta 1. The current list now includes the following filters:CIAdditionCompositing, CIAffineTransform, CICheckerboardGenerator,CIColorBlendMode, CIColorBurnBlendMode, CIColorControls, CIColorCube,CIColorDodgeBlendMode,CIColorInvert, CIColorMatrix, CIColorMonochrome,CIConstantColorGenerator, CICrop, CIDarkenBlendMode, CIDifferenceBlendMode,CIExclusionBlendMode, CIExposureAdjust,CIFalseColor, CIGammaAdjust,CIGaussianGradient, CIHardLightBlendMode, CIHighlightShadowAdjust,CIHueAdjust, CIHueBlendMode, CILightenBlendMode, CILinearGradient,CILuminosityBlendMode, CIMaximumCompositing, CIMinimumCompositing,CIMultiplyBlendMode, CIMultiplyCompositing, CIOverlayBlendMode,CIRadialGradient,CISaturationBlendMode, CIScreenBlendMode, CISepiaTone,CISoftLightBlendMode, CISourceAtopCompositing, CISourceInCompositing,CISourceOutCompositing,CISourceOverCompositing, CIStraightenFilter,CIStripesGenerator, CITemperatureAndTint, CIToneCurve, CIVibrance, CIVignette, and CIWhitePointAdjust
iBooks
§ iBooks 1.2.2 may fail to display some text or images in books. Please update to iBooks 1.3 in the App Store.
iCloud Backup
§ If you enable iCloud Backup, automatic backup with iTunes when syncing will be disabled. We also suggest that you manually back up your device with iTunes. Backups made with earlier versions of iOS 5 beta will soon become incompatible, and will no longer be available. It is strongly advised you upgrade to this version of the iOS 5 beta in order to continue backing up your devices.
iCloud Storage
§ NEW: Starting in iOS 5 beta 7, the requirements for specifying container identifier strings in your application's entitlements have changed. Each container identifier that does not include a wildcard character must exactly match the bundle identifier of an application published using the same team ID as your application. You are not required to include an entitlement that matches your app's own bundle identifier; for example, a lite and pro version of your app could both specify the pro app's bundle identifier to share the same container. The requirements for container identifiers that include wildcard characters have not changed, but you may need to update existing wildcard identifiers after changing any non-wildcard identifiers in your application's entitlements to match the new rules.
§ NEW: In this beta of iOS 5.0 the number of times an app can synchronize in quick succession with the servers has been reduced. If you are debugging your app and want to see whether your synchronize requests are being throttled, you can call the -[NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore _printDebugDescription] method directly in gdb. Please note that -[NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore _printDebugDescription] is an SPI so you are strongly advised not to use it in your app.
§ On KVS, the per-key limit has been raised to 64Kb (to match the per-app limit); and the maximum number of keys has been raised to 256.
§ During the iOS 5 beta period, any documents stored on the servers might be purged periodically before GM. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you do not store any critical documents or information on the servers.
§ Provisioning Profiles no longer need to be enabled for iCloud in the iOS Provisioning Portal. All newly generated provisioning profiles are now automatically enabled for iCloud. If you are using an Xcode managed Team Provisioning Profile, click refresh in the Xcode Organizer to obtain a new iCloud-enabled profile. To enable all other provisioning profiles for iCloud, simply regenerate your profiles in the iOS Provisioning Portal.
§ If your application is using the NSMetadataQuery class, you must set a predicate, the predicate is now honored. But the predicate is an NSPredicate-style predicate, not a Spotlight-style predicate an example of this is that you must use LIKE instead of = for wild card matching. The differences are defined in more detail at:http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/Predicates/Articles/pSpotlightComparison.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40002370-SW1
§ In this beta, the setSortDescriptors: method of NSMetadataQuery is not supported.
§ To use iCloud prior to beta 5, you had to manually specify various container identifiers (your application's Display set) within an Entitlements file for both of your Mac OS X and iOS projects.Starting in beta 5, to enable iCloud storage within your apps, simply click the "Enable Entitlements" checkbox in the Summary pane of your project. Xcode will create a custom entitlements file for your project that automatically includes your Team ID. You can add additional iCloud Container values as required by your application. (Note that you must regenerate your existing provisioning profiles, either with Xcode or in the iOS Provisioning Portal, to use iCloud storage.)If you specify a custom identifier string for your iCloud Key-Value Store or iCloud Container entitlement values, you no longer need to prepend your Team ID to the beginning of the string. Xcode will prepend your Team ID to these entries automatically
§ The container identifier string you pass to the URLForUbiquityContainerIdentifier: method of NSFileManager MUST include the team ID at the beginning of the string. As a convenience, if you passnil, Foundation uses the first document container ID specified in your app's entitlements.
§ There are issues using the Cloud Storage document API in conjunction with protected data which can lead to data corruption.
§ In this beta, file presenters (objects that adopt the NSFilePresenterprotocol) do not receive some of the messages that they're supposed to receive, especially:
§ presentedSubitemDidAppearAtURL:
§ presentedSubitemDidChangeAtURL:
You can workaround this by implementing the relinquishPresentedItemToWriter: method and checking to see if the writer actually wrote when your file presenter reacquires.
File presenters do receive presentedItemDidChange: messages in this beta.
§ While reporting a bug related to the iCloud storage interfaces, please include the logs collected during your debugging session. To generate these logs, you mustinstall a special debug profile on your device. The debug profile can be obtained from http://connect.apple.com. This profile enables the generation of debug logs that are needed to diagnose any problems using iCloud storage. The instructionsto collect the logs are:
1. Install the profile. (The easiest way to do this is to mail it to yourself and open the attachment on their device.)
2. Reproduce the bug.
3. Sync with iTunes to pull the logs off your device.
4. Attach the logs to your bug report. You can find the logs in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/DeviceName/DiagnosticLogs.
These logs can grow large very quickly, so you should remove the profile after you have reproduced the problem and pulled the logs for the bug report.
File names are case-insensitive in OS X but case-sensitive in iOS. This can lead to problems when syncing files between the two. You should take steps on iOS to avoid creating files whose names differ only by case.
Well there you have it, and creds to http://www.spotlightofpeace.com for the change log.
Could there be an Apple Television; and When?
Now that Apple Inc. has almost made every type of major electronic, is it time for Apple to take the next biggest step and make an Apple based television? I think so, how about you?
Apple started off just as a group of people making computer and trying to sell them on the streets. They have since turned into one of the biggest laptop/computer company in the world. They have now dominated in the MP3 (iPod), Phone (iPhone), tablet (iPad), and of course the Computer industry (Macbook). They're probably one of the most known companies in the world. Although, competitive companies such as Google are catching up quickly in the game, so does Apple need to change? They can't get any better with the products they have, so why not make a new product such as a television?
Steve Jobs and Tim Cook have denied it in 2010 but that doesn't mean they can't change their mind. Recent reports are saying that Apple may release a Plasma TV in 2012. These reports also state that Apple won't release TV's in many sizes just in a couple large sizes. Rumours are that these TV are going to be "AppledOut," which basically means they will have features that will have to do with every Apple product. It may have features of iOS, able to wirelessly connect to any Apple product from far away.
An Apple Television may be a just a rumour, or may come truth, but for now we will wait. I personally think Apple will release a Television but let me know what you think.
HTC SUES APPLE

Taiwan's HTC is accusing and suing Apple for violating 3 patents on most of their products. This is just another case of patent violation that these rivals have had over the years.
HTC filed this lawsuit Monday, in the US District court, where Apple had sued HTC the previous year. HTC is saying that these 3 patents violation are for the iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad and Macbook's. They want an injunction to stop Apple from importing these products outside of the US. HTC and Apple have both complainted to the US International Trade Commission, who has the power to stop a company to from exporting their products.
Google has also bought Motorola (Mobile) for 12.5 billion, making the Android market even more powerful. HTC will also benefit from this, as they use Google's Android Operating System. With HTC suing Apple it will help Google, and companies that use Android by making more Android customers.
No word from Apple on HTC suing them, or why Apple complainted to the US International Trade Commission yet.

Apple Threatens Intel

A couple days ago, Apple officials threatened Intel to fix their "high power consumptions" chips. Apple says if they don't fix this, they will stop using Intel's chips in their MacBook's.
Apple has already started trying out ARM's chip in the MacBook Air, which supposedly better. ARM was always competitive with Intel but lately they have started shining. Companies like Dell and Apple have started trying these chips in future PC's and Mac's. ARM chips are supposedly better suited for laptops.
Apple was one of the first companies to start using Intel's energy efficient Sandy Bridge Chip in their MacBook Air's for the obvious reasons, but lately it hasn't been getting the job done. With Apple it's all about business, and once the job isn't getting done, they start getting tough. The main concern for Apple over the "high power consumption" chip is Apple is trying stick to the slim design but a better performance, including battery life and speed. With competition rising, Apple can't afford flaws like high power usage.
Although, it doesn't seem like Intel cares too much from the Pres. Conference. Also, Intel just invested $300 million dollars in developing for new laptops like the MacBook Air called Ultrabooks. It is suppose to cost less than $1000 and have the same feeling to a tablet. Sounds likes Intel is trying to bring competition to Apple, rather than working with them.
Apple Just Loves SMASHING RIM
Apple is trying to destroy Apple again, this time completely.
With RIM slowly falling down in competition with Apple these days, Apple does one more move to take them down completely. They opened their first Apple store in Waterloo, and just 10 minutes away from RIM headquarters.
Thinking about the 2000 employees laid off recently by RIM, I bet many of them were hired at the Apple Store, especially because Apple has better discounts for employees. This just leads more and more Apple customers, and less RIM customers. Not just that, with this being the first Apple Store in this City, more people are excited about Apple products.
As Waterloo is the smallest city in Canada, it wouldn't be a huge place for companies to sell their products. With RIM probably the biggest company here, it would be the "major company: of Waterloo. Now that Apple has joined, more people are switching to them, leading RIM out of business.
RIM is hoping to have a comeback, after they release some new Smartphone's in the couple of weeks, worldwide. They can't afford another flop, as Apple is overtaking the competition, and don't plan to stop. This may be the last hope for RIM, and if they do flop, they don't have a great future, with the iPhone 5 and iPod Touch 5G on its way.
The iPhone 5 and iPod Touch 5G are supposedly to be released in the first week of September, which may be the same time as RIM's new Smartphone's. This is the perfect time, because it's back to school time, so there are more customers on the market right now.
Within a few weeks we will know the state of RIM and how smart of a move was it for Apple to open a new store in Conestoga, Waterloo.
Why NOT to Buy Apple Products Right NOW!
Why you shouldn't buy Apple Products right now!

I recommend not buying an iPod Touch or iPhone for another month, unless it's urgent. I say this because; Apple will most likely release their new iPod Touch and iPhone, along with iOS 5 on Sept. 7th.
If they do release it that would mean the iPod Touch 4G and iPhone 4G prices will go extremely down. Saving you at least $30 or $40, so why not. Again, if it is urgent then don't hesitate, because this isn't too important. Also, after hearing the rumored features of these products, I wouldn't want to waste my money on a 4G, then later too find out that the 5G will be out in a few weeks. I love the latest models, so of course I would wait. Also, another reason would be if you do buy one now, and then decide to trade it in, the value will be very low, because nobody would be interested.
Again, patient is important, especially in this situation. With 30 or 40 more bucks, you could buy a nice case or a cake%u2026 Buy it today if you have too, otherwise buying it another day is worth it.
Apple Gets Protection From UK Riots

With the riots these days in the UK, the government has given protection to the Apple Stores in the UK. Of course it would be Apple, and not some other company. Now all Apple Stores in the UK are closed, and inventory is cleared. Don't worry, nobody stole it, they just hid it.
Wednesday, is when Apple was granted special treatment. The reason for this was Apple has the most expensive products, so it would be first to be robbed. It is good they did, one electronic company got robbed of products worth in total of over $325 000! Other companies such as Sony were burnt down. Apple would of lost lots of money, with the worth of the products, and plus the cash register, I bet that must be filled completely. Police are guarding the stores as of right now, but damage may still of been done.
With riots still continuing, it may be weeks or so for Apple to completely restock, and everything to go back to normal. Sales are expected to go down dramatically in the UK for at least months. Stay tuned for more information on this
Apple Now Most Valuable Company

On Tuesday, August 9th 2011, Apple Inc had just become the world's most valuable company, surpassing Exxon Mobil (A Oil and Gas Corporation). The following day, Apple's ending value was $337 Billion, while Exxon Mobil was $331 Billion. If you look at Apple Inc. past, from being almost bankrupt at one point, to now being the most valued company in the world! What an achievement, and they may just be the first world's Trillion Dollar company.
Apple Inc. doesn't sell Band-Aid's, Tooth Brushes or Oil/Gas, something which we all need. They sell one of the most expensive ranges of products, including the iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad's and MacBook's. Not something everyone needs, or can afford with the pricing, they still manage to become at the top. There are some many cheaper products that are like Apple's products, such as MP3's, Android Phones, and cheaper laptops like Dell or HP. Still people choose Apple over anything else. This just proves people these days prefer quality and quantity. Apple strives in quality, having most of their products touch screen, using multi-gestures in their products, etc. Apple is at the point that they are suing many recognizable companies, such as Samsung and RIM, for copying their products. Apple is at the point that all companies look up to them, and are only going to get better.
Apple may be so high up because of their smartness. In 2001, they released the first iPod Touch, becoming the best MP3 available. So soon after they release the iTunes Store and the App Store. If it's an mp3, everyone wants music on it, so why not make an online store that can be easily accessed right off your iPod. Also, with the touch screen capabilities, gaming and running other utilities would be at its best, so they decide to release the App Store, to do so. Now users have downloaded a total of over 10 billion times from the App Store, and iTunes is leader in selling music. In 2007, Apple releases the iPhone, integrating the "best MP3" into a phone, making business even higher. These smart moves have brought Apple to where it is now!
Apple has never been the most valuable company, finally taking the second spot away from Microsoft, and now taking Exxon 6 year run of being 1st. Apple hasn't shown their best yet, and predictions are after the iPhone 5, iOS 5, and iPod Touch 5g come out, they're business will be going sky rocket high. Let's just see how long Apple will be first, and what Apple will do in the near futures.
Apple Richer than U.S Government!
I read this a couple days ago, that Apple has more money than the U.S government. I always knew Apple had a lot of money, I just didn't expect they would have more than their government.
Reports are that Apple has about $2 billion more dollars than U.S gov. Apple has $76 billion, while the government has $74 billion. You would think, with all the taxes the government takes, they would have a lot more. I guess the government doesn't have to feel as bad, as Apple has the most net worth, since Tuesday, in the world! The truth is, the U.S Government has spent over $3 Trillion dollars, trying to get out of their debt, this year. At this rate, the government may start taking loans from Apple. That would be amazing if that happened.
Let see what the government has to say about this. For know I would like to hear your opinions on this.
iPhone 5 Mini
iPhone 5 MINI
The reason why Apple would be releasing the iPhone 5 Mini is for variety and more customers. These day's everyone is complaining about Apple's pricing, and the Mini will be must cheaper. This is for people that can't afford the normal price $200, with a contract phone. Also, the iPhone 5 is rumored to be much more expensive, as the materials they used are much more expensive. Also, Google's Android may soon take over Apple's business, as they are very close. Android phones are much cheaper, and have more variety. Apple only has one brand of phones that use their operating system (iOS). Apple needs to step up, and this might just be there way.
Let me know what you think about this. Do you think Apple will release an iPhone 5 mini? Also, do you think this will do Apple any good? IF you have any questions or comments, please leave a comment below or email me at supportapplemeout@hotmail.com.
Next Major Release...
When will the next major release happen...
Not only have Kodawarisan have confirmed this date, but many reliable sites such as MacRumors also have. Also, many service providers such as AT-T and Rogers have or about start their training for the iPhone 5. This takes a couple of weeks to complete, which would land around Sept. 7. Also, the beta stages of the iOS 5 look to be near the end, as it is on the 6th beta, and soon to be the 7th. By now, the beta's have all the features of iOS 5 integrated, meaning it only has some bugs to fix within the firmware.
These are some of the reasons why rumors are that iCloud, iOS 5, the iPad 3 and iPhone 5 will release on September 7th. Now, the biggest reason is because, Apple is due to release iOS 5 in the fall, which was stated at WWDC 2011. It would only make sense to release it with the iPod Touch. Then why not release the anticipated iPhone 5, along with the iPad 3. iCloud would release then too, it would only make sense to release it with iOS 5 and a new range of products.
MacBook Air's Slower....
Some MacBook Air's are slower than others...
The newest generation of MacBook Airs has a secret behind them; some of them are slower than others! You would think they are exactly the same, how could some be slower than others? Well, they aren't exactly the same; Apple used two different manufactures to make their Flash Storage (SSD). These two manufactures are Samsung and Toshiba, and the Toshiba model is slower. There problem is there isn't any way to know which one is the faster one just by looking at the MacBook Air.
To see which one you have, Click on the Apple Logo, and click on About This Mac. Next, hit More Info and then go to System Report. On the left column, under hardware click Serial-ATA, and find where it says "APPLE SSD TS%u2026 or SM%u2026." If yours starts with the "TS" then you have the slower Toshiba model, and if yours starts with "SM" then you have the faster Samsung model.
You may be thinking how much of a difference is it, well here are the stats:
Samsung SSD: 246 MB/s write Toshiba: 156 MB/s write
264 MB/s read. 208 MB/s read
That's quite a difference, especially in the write speed. Let me know your thoughts, and opinions on this. Also feel free to email me for any topics you want me to write about, or any questions, comments, etc., at supportapplemeout@hotmail.com

Snow Leopard or Lion?
Article based on if you should buy Lion or Snow Leopard

July 20, this is the date Apple released Mac OS X Lion, as there 8 major operating system releases. It sold over 1 million copies in one day, and that mean they received 30 Million Dollars! Although the anticipated release was a major hit, in terms of buying, was it worth it? That's one of the big question everyone is asking.
My opinion is, although it may have bugs, they will be fixed with a couple days in an update. There are always flaws, and it depends on how patient you are. I'm not Apple's side either, they released the GM (Gold Master, the last update to review before selling, or releasing) on June 1st, and did not do anything, as they released the same copy 20 days later. In 20 days you didn't realize there are problems that need fixing. That's terrible, not even Windows would do that. I think by now all problems have been resolved, and it's safe to install. Now there are reasons why you shouldn't update.
The major reason not to update was all of those bugs, screwing up our lives. Now that's resolved, let's go onto the other problems that most people are having.
1. TOO SLOW - Well, it isn't this slow, but it takes a bit longer to do anything, because uses more RAM and 4 MORE GB OF HARD DRIVE.
2. Don't like using it - The Lion has a tablet feel to it know, like multi-gestures. So if you're not fond of them, I suggest you don't update, unless you want to rip your hair out.
That's about it, as the bugs were fixed. If you can't stand these problems, I wouldn't recommend upgrading, and STAYING ON SNOW LEOPARD! I like Snow Leopard; it's original and works well. It isn't slow either, but it's kind of outdated. To me Snow Leopard is like XP, a classic. Lion is like Windows 7, the new thing, (but so much better. Again, my opinion, your may differ.) If you want basics, nothing to advanced, and want no problems what so ever, I suggest you stick to Snow Leopard. Then again, if are like me, who likes trying to newest thing, testing out, don't care too much about problems, and advanced technology, I suggest upgrading to Lion. Here are the highlights about Lion.
1. Full Screen Apps- All apps full screen, not in terms of (the big box button). The app itself will be full-size.
2. Launch Pad- With a three/four finger gesture you can see all the Apps you have installed on your MacBook at once. Not in a folder, but in a much classier look.
3. Mission Control-You can open new "desktops" now, so for example, if you told you parents that you're doing your homework when you're actually surfing the internet, you can put the homework stuff on one desktop, and the internet on another. The best part is you have to do a hand gesture to see all your desktops.
4. Multi Gestures- Lion is adding the iPad's gestures into it, to make it a fun experience, whenever on your MacBook.
5. Resume- If you have to restart your MacBook and don't want to lose what you're doing, your Mac automatically saves it. When your Mac boots up, everything appears as it was, not moving one thing.
6. Sharing- From a click of a button you can now transfer and files, documents, or anything else from a Windows or Mac computer into yours.
7. Spotlight- If you have an iPod Touch, iPad, or iPhone you know what Spotlight search is. It basically lets you find whatever you need from typing it in. Unlike a Windows computer, which takes forever to search, this takes a second.
8. Contacts- New and improved, into a look like the iPad view but iPhone format, in terms of FaceTiming.
Here are the highlights of Lion, which probably want you to have it right now! For full detail on all the features of Lion go to http://adf.ly/2KrjE. Now it's up to you, whichever one you prefer. I personally prefer Lion, but don't mind Snow Leopard.
I want to know what you have and why, what you like, dislike, so please leave a comment below.
Thanks
iCloud
iCloud

iCloud was announced in WWDC 2011, by Steve Jobs. iCloud is a service FREE, yes FREE from Apple to backup your device's content. Yes, your games, apps, music, videos, etc. It backup's WIRELESSLY, as Apple is going PC- FREE in iOS 5, so no more having to connect your device to iTunes, to save your content. iCloud has the ability to grab the content from one device and transfer it wirelessly to any other device that's on your "cloud."
This includes pictures, music, videos, movies, apps, etc. It does it instantly, just as your download something, it starts download it onto the other devices. Now there are pros and cons to this. Here are the pros:
PROS
1. Works instantly
2. FREE
3. Upgradable storage
4. NO WIRES NEEDED
5. Supports everything
6. Available to anyone with an iTunes Account
7. Also backs up to computer
8. Works fast and efficiently
CONS
1. Only 5GB Storage
2. May not be reliable
3. What if you don't want the content on all your devices
4. Picture storage only 30 days
5. May ending up paying twice
6. DOESN'T WORK ON WINDOWS XP (I HAVE XP AND CAN'T UPGRADE!)
So there are many pros of Apple's iCloud but many flaws, such as not being available on XP! Let's just see how it turns out. Let me know what you think.
iPhone 5
What will the iPhone 5 look like? When will it come out?

The iPhone 5 has been getting hot these days, as rumors are that Apple will release it in September/October. Just like any other year, Apple releases a new iPhone, along with new and improved features. We all want to know what these features are, so read on and you'll find out.
First off, Apple usually releases the new iPhone at WWDC in June, but this year it was only about software, and not new products. Rumors are that Apple will announce it with the iPod Touch 5g and even iPad 3 in September, but will release in October.
As iOS 5 was announced in WWDC 2011, and is to be released in the fall, there would be no better time to release a new range of products running their new iOS 5. Apple will also make the iPhone 5 best suited for iOS 5. Down below are the best rumored features of the iPhone 5:
1. New look. Maybe the screen size bigger, from 3.5 inches, to 4 inches. Also maybe a curved looked. I'm guessing they still will be making a white and black iPhone 5, but it would be nice to have many colors.
2. 4G. Most of us have 3G on our iPhone's, but hey, we deserve 4G!
3. Use all programs over Data Plan. Programs such as FaceTime can only be used on Wi-Fi, but the iPhone 5 should have the power to work under a data plan.
4. HDMI out. It would be nice to see your iPhone in HDMI mode, the clearness would be great, especially on a huge TV. Even though an Apple TV can do this, some people just can't afford an Apple TV, and not everything is supported in it.
5. FLASH!! I don't know how many times I've been browsing through the internet, and just as I'm about to watch something, it says I NEED FLASH! I am tired of it, and so are many people are.
6. Better Camera. The camera's okay, but still can be improved. Everything Apple's has to be number 1, so might as well! %uF04A
7. Expandable Memory. By this I mean, you attach a SD Card or USB somehow, and you can play movies, videos, music, and play apps through it. A lot more convenient.
8. A5 Processor. Well we already know this is going to happen, but might as well put it up. A5 will make it so much better. Hope it's as good as it sounds.
9. Voice Control. I use voice control; it's actually pretty good, sometimes it makes me laugh. I say one thing, it does another. It needs a lot of improvement, and more capabilities for more tasks.
10. 3D. Just imagine an iPhone 3D, that means 3D Gaming, Movies, etc. That would be a new era for Apple, and Technology itself.
Give me your thought, and what you would like to see in the iPhone 5, or anything else.

MacBook Air vs. MacBook Pro
Which one is better for you?

Wanting to purchase a Mac? Don't know which one to buy? Well read on, hopefully I can help you. Let's compare the top two Mac's that Apple has released so far, the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air!
MACBOOK PRO
Right off the bat, you probably think the MacBook Pro is better, just by the name. Every person has their own preference suiting their budget, and needs. These are the tech specs of the MacBook Pro
Tech Specs: (Upgrades are available, go to Apple.ca for full info)
MacBook Pro 13 inch
Size Height:2.41 cm
Width:32.5 cm
Depth:22.7 cm
Weight:2.04 kg
Ports/Drives: Precision aluminum unibody
MagSafe power port
Thunderbolt port
Two USB 2.0 ports
FireWire 800 port
SDXC card slot
-
FaceTime HD camera
Multi-Touch track pad
Full-size, backlit keyboard
8x SuperDrive
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 with 384MB DDR3 SDRAM
Processor 2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
Storage: 320 GB
Battery Up to 7 hours
RAM 4GB
Price $1249
I suggest buying this Mac only if you need all these features. I personally only have used 20 GB of hard drive, and 4GB is used by the operating system. Then again, I don't download a lot of large files/programs, like movies and programs like Apple's XCode. These computers are best suited for people who use the computer to the max, such as video editing, and advanced gaming. Even if you don't use these features, I recommend this Mac for students going to college or university, for many reasons.
Pro's
1. It has a DVD drive. Have you ever been on a long road trip, bored and nothing to do, put in a DVD and enjoy. The MacBook Air doesn't come with one, which, for many people is a big flaw.
2. 2. Hard Drive. Most courses I know of require you to make many notes, quickly and efficiently. The MacBook Pro is fast enough and has more than enough hard drive to do so, best part NO LAG!
3. RAM. As stated above, it has enough RAM to do almost every task efficiently
4. Battery Life. 7 hours is a lot, and it's not a lie. From experience, I have learned Apple wasn't kidding about 7 hour of battery life. You never want your Mac to die during something important.
5. Ports. The Mac has many ports, such as 2 USB, Thunderbolt, SD Card slots, and for many people those are necessities.
CON'S:
1. Slippery, it won't stay put on your lap.
2. Expensive, but worth it.
3. Can't be upgraded.
4. Not all programs are suited, so you have to get a program like Parallels to run Windows on the side.
Now, the MacBook Air is more of a basic Mac, not meant to be used for hardcore gaming, but works well with Photoshop, video editing, Word, etc. When I mean "basic" I don't mean that it's any ordinary computer. The tech specs aren't very bad, just not as good as a MacBook Pro. Although, not everyone needs all of them either.
Tech Specs:
MacBook Air 11 inch 13 inch
Size %u2022 Height: 0.3-1.7 cm
%u2022 Width: 30 cm
%u2022 Depth: 19.2 cm

FaceTime camera
Multi-Touch track pad
Full-size, backlit keyboard
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000
Processor 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core
Storage 64GB
Battery Up to 5 hours
RAM 2GB(Upgradable to 4GB)
Price: $999
I'd recommend this Mac to some like me, someone who doesn't need a lot of space. I DO recommend to get the 4GB RAM, because my PC has 2GB RAM and it's pretty slow with no advanced programming. Also, unlike a PC, it can't be upgradable after purchasing. It's better to get the most RAM beforehand. You may think 64 GB isn't a lot, well how much do you really need. I've never seen a program more than 4GB. I only used about 20 GB on my PC so far, and that's more than enough for me. Then again everyone is different and has different needs. I wouldn't recommend this Mac to some in a huge company, going to use advanced programming, and advanced technology. I'd recommend it for a student, needing it for the basics, but needing the Mac Features. Look below for the Pro's and Con's for the MacBook Air.
Pros:
1. Flash storage. The other Mac's have a hard drive, but flash storage is a lot faster. It makes the computer run more smoothly
2. Sleek and thin. At the thickest point, it is still thinner than an iPhone 4. That's amazing for a Laptop, and the performance is still amazing.
3. Cheapest Mac. It's the cheapest Mac, while still being made of anodized aluminum, and not cheap plastic.
4. Full size Keyboard. Even though it's so small, it still has a full size keyboard
Cons:
1. Not many ports. Comes with 2 USB ports and a Thunderbolt port.
2. No Ethernet port. An Ethernet port isn't included, but an usb attachment is available. Then again it's a laptop, it has Wi-Fi, and when will you need the actual Ethernet cable.
3. No DVD drive. Doesn't include a DVD drive, but you can purchase a "super drive" from apple for $79, which is expensive.
There we go, here is the comparison, hope this helped. Remember not every Mac is for everyone. You need to see for yourself which Mac you need, because they are expensive compared to other laptops, so you don't want to regret it. Not everyone needs the same features, and GOOD LUCK!

iPod Touch 5G
What exactly is the iPod Touch 5G going to have?

iPod Touch 5G
As most of us know, every year Apple releases a "refresh" of their products, including the iPod Touch. The next iPod Touch will be the 5th generation, and rumors are Apple will announce it in September, but will release in early October.. Every year Apple releases some new features for their products, mainly the iPod Touch. The most advanced upgrade they have done is adding cameras and adding the HD Retina Display. Those are pretty good upgrades, but if the rumors are true, prepared to be amazed. Read on to find out about the rumored features.
1. 3G!!
Yes, 3G for the iPod Touch. We all know the iPhone has 3G and so does the iPad, but finally the iPod Touch. Even though it would cost a bit more, it is worth it, at least that's what I think. I can stress enough of how many times I needed internet on my iPod Touch but there was none available. It would be so much easier, because these day's almost everything we need is available using internet. Also, programs such as FaceTime, VOIP and Radio would be able to work on 3G.
Want some proof that there will be 3G, well look at the picture below.
2. Apple's A5 Processor Chip with 256MB to 512MB RAM
Every year, Apple changes there Processor Chip, making it faster and better performance. This year the performance should be even better than usual because the ram is doubled. Now you may be thinking my computer has at least 1GB RAM, that sucks, but this isn't a computer! Also, Apple's technology is so advanced is that 256MB RAM feels like 1GB RAM computer. I personally think with iOS 5 releasing, the A5 will be perfect.
3. HDMI Video Output with Mirroring Image
Just like the iPad, you will be able to enable video mirroring, so instead of showing your friends and family something on your iDevice's screen, you can show it on a much bigger screen. Making the experience even better. Overall, the Title speaks for itself.
4. WHITE IPOD TOUCH
Both the iPad and iPhone come in black and white, and finally the iPod Touch. I personally like white better than black. Now at least you have an option, which is perfect. Just like the iPad and iPhone, Apple would probably release it in both black and white. Just one more reason to get the iPod Touch. A company in China released this, and this company manufactures some of the materials used for Apple's products, like the screen. Also many documents have been found stating these features.
Overall, Apple did some major adjustments, making the iPod Touch something everyone wants.
