I must admit I haven't actually used these books, but I've read some great reviews about them on different forums so I'm sure you'll find them really helpful.
Now the one thing I like to do when planning any event, let alone the most important day of your life, is to take notes and have an action plan. With so many different things to think about from the ceremony, reception, wardrobe, wedding party etc I would recommend getting a wedding binder where you can keep all of your notes in one place.

Now when I think of an aqua and red wedding I see aqua as the foundation color and red as the secondary color. With this in mind I would suggest aqua bridesmaid dresses complimented with red flowers like red roses or poppies, tulips or carnations.

Now as well as the flowers you can also add red in your wedding shoes and, just as I did for the bridesmaids dresses, I've compiled a page of simply gorgeous red wedding shoes for you to browse through.
You may prefer to use red as the foundation color and use aqua as an accent however so I've also included a webpage which has some gorgeous red bridesmaids dresses for you to choose from -
And if you're going to go with a red bridesmaids dress then you'll probably want some aqua shoes (a little hint - these are much harder to source than red ones), if that's the case then I've got some in my blue wedding shoe collection below.
If you are using red as the foundation color then I would use white or cream flowers (match them with the bride's dress if possible) with an aqua ribbon wrapped around them.

Aqua and Red Reception Décor Ideas
When it comes to decorating your reception area one of the simpler things to do is decide on your tablecloths and napkins. Quite simply use your foundation color for the tablecloth whether that's going to be aqua or red and your secondary color for the napkins. As for the rest of the décor, well there are lots of ideas for your to choose from.
I like the idea of using silk rose petals sprinkled on the tables or diamond confetti, the place card holders will also help to bring your personal touch to the decorations and then come the centrepieces.................

There are so many different ideas for centrepieces that, again, it's only limited by your imagination. The more traditional idea is to use flowers and this can work really great, although depending on what flowers you choose it can also be a little expensive.
A great idea for a centrepiece is to use Christmas ornaments - yes you heard me correct, Christmas ornaments! Simply buy some plain hurricane vases and fill them with either aqua Christmas ornaments, red Christmas ornaments or a mix of the two in each vase. The look is really effective, add a few tealight candles around the table and you have some lovely table décor.
