Aqualung Legend Regulator Review

The over-balanced first stage achieves unprecedented performance by increasing your air supply the deeper you go. The balanced second stage reduces breathing resistance to near zero with a lightweight balanced valve seat designed to respond instantaneously to the slightest inhalation.

The first stage has two high-pressure (HP) ports and four low-pressure (LP) ports. The ports are aligned and angled for optimum hose routing.

The Legend comes in 4 different Variation, the Legend, Legend LX, Legend Supreme, and the Legend LX Supreme. Performance wise, these regulators are identical.

The Legend over-balanced diaphragm first stage combines the reliability of a completely sealed unit with the ease of breathing and quality construction common to all Aqua Lung Legend regulators. The Legend second stage is a pneumatically balanced design that does not require diver adjustment. This is reliability and simplicity at its best! The Legend second stage is matched exclusively with the Legend over-balanced diaphragm first stage.

Diver-controlled Venturi Adjustment Switch (VAS) reduces sensitivity to free flow on the surface and provides maximum airflow at depth.

Inhalation adjustment feature permits diver to control breathing gas delivery under a variety of diving conditions.

The Legend Supreme is the cold water version of the Legend and can be identified by the "snowflake" laser-etched into the case.

It is matched with the same Legend first stage as found on the other Legend models with additional coldwater features.

The Legend second stage is a pneumatically balanced design that does not require diver adjustment.

The Legend LX diaphragm first stage combines the reliability of a completely sealed unit with the ease of breathing and quality construction common to all Aqua Lung regulators. The Legend LX adjustable balanced second stage delivers air with consistent ease regardless of tank pressure and is near neutrally buoyant in the water.

Each Regulator comes with the the Auto- Closure Device (ADC). This device seals the regulator's inlet fitting, both Yoke and DIN, as soon as the regulator is removed from the cylinder valve.

This will keep water and contaminants out of the regulator's first stage during rinsing and storage.
