What do you need to consider while shopping for aquamarine engagement rings?

This may be your first time ever hearing about aquamarine engagement rings, if so, you came to the right place. Before you make a choice, you should study the specifics of this piece, that is slowly but surely gaining in popularity.

The name aquamarine comes from Latin and is made of two words: aqua, which means water and mare, which means sea. The aquamarine belongs to the beryl family. The beryl is related to an emerald and they come from Brazil. As the name implies stones in the aquamarine engagement rings come in a large range of blues.

What do you need to consider while shopping for aquamarine engagement rings? Well, five things are important: color, clarity, setting, cut and price.

COLOR of the aquamarine engagement rings

The aquamarine blue can be as light as the sky or as dark as the deepest part of the sea. Some aquamarines come with little hints and shades of green for a marvelous visual showcase. The more iron in the stone, the bluer the stone will be. Not known for intense color, an intense shade of blue will be the most valuable.

CLARITY of the aquamarine

It is not common for an aquamarine to have flaws, but make sure the clarity of your stone is good. Look at the product description, there should be one of five abbreviations for clarity:

F means flawless, an F-aquamarine is the best choice
IF means the aquamarine is internally flawless
VVS1 and S2 means the aquamarine slightly include flaws
EG the aquamarine is eye clean

CUT of the aquamarine

The most popular cuts are oval or emerald shape, but it is up to you: You may consider to buy princess cut aquamarine engagement rings or heart shape aquamarine engagement rings - also very beautiful.

PRICE of the aquamarine engagement rings

The aquamarine engagement rings are more affordable than the diamond engagement rings. Even those on a strict budget can buy gorgeous aquamarine engagement rings. Are you looking for expensive engagement rings? If so, than combine aquamarine with other stones e.g. with diamonds.

There are aquamarine engagement rings made of silver, platinum or white gold. Silver is the most budget-friendly, platinum aquamarine engagement rings are the most expensive. A combination of two precious metals is also available; this type of rings is called two-tone engagement rings.

The color of the aquamarine can also affect the price. Dark blue will be the most expensive. If you are on a budget, consider aquamarine engagement rings with yellow or greenish hints of color - still quite beautiful. Also be aware that you will be hard-pressed to find a small aquamarine stone, because larger stones hold the color better.

Interesting information. I have never heard of this. I would honestly maybe put the stats lower instead right up top. You want to make sure you grab your reader right away.

Jon, this is a good lens. Traffic may be a bit slow because of the subject matter, it's very unique and specific to a small market. You might want to showcase some more rings and break your content into a couple more modules. Any personal stories to include about your subject? That always helps the lens too. Good luck on Squidoo.
