Aquarium Water Chillers

An aquarium water chiller is a must have for coldwater aquariums being kept in tropical climates. For many fish a few degrees above their preferred range can lead to permanent damage or even death.

There is no other aquarium purchase that will be as major as the chiller. They are an expensive piece of equipment that will cost several hundred dollars. For this reason it is always worth shopping around for the best price.

If you only have a few hot days per year and would prefer to do without an aquarium chiller this is also possible. Take a number of plastic bottles of water and freeze them overnight. The ice block bottles can be floated to reduce the temperature without an aquarium chiller.
