Aquashield UK Offers Roof Repairs and Roof Coatings
Aquashield, the roof repairs specialists, have headquarters in Glasgow, UK but service the entire United Kingdom. They offer a unique roof renovation service that includes thorough roof cleaning, tile repairs and replacement as required followed by application of the Aquatherm roof coatings.
5-stage Roof Repair Process
Check out how we give your roof a new look and strength.
Aquashield Roof repair: Stage 1
First, we make suitable arrangements at the site so that we can easily clean it up after we have finished our work.
All traces of moss, algae, lichen, pollutants and carbonation are removed by cleaning the tiles with a high pressure jet. The gutters are cleaned of all silt from both inside and outside. This process is performed under great care so as not to block any existing downpipes.
Aquashield Roof repair: Stage 2
All worn out mortar between crests, ridge and hip tiles are removed and replaced with a fibre re-enforced polymer mortar and re-bedding any loose ridges and crests. Any broken, cracked and damaged tiles are replaced with the same or similar type. Any damaged mortar verges are re-sealed ready for the next stage.
Aquashield Roof repair: Stage 3
The existing surfaces are filled with a bio degradable detergent which clears any underlying family of mosses or lichens. This prevents any future growth of those unwanted guests thereby preventing underneath spoilage of the finished coating.
Aquashield Roof repair: Stage 4
A special Aquashield heat saving coat is applied at every treated area to restore micro-porosity to weathered tiles including hand treatment to edges and verges. It stabilises the existing surface by absorbing itself to the treated tiles forming a thermal barrier Aquatherm. Exclusively available in the UK from Aquashield!
Aquashield Roof repair: Stage 5
An airless spray equipment is used to apply the final coat in clients' chosen colour. This final coat reseals the roof completely forming a water barrier repelling any water from being absorbed by the roof tiles. However it does not become a vapour barrier but in fact allows your roof to breathe.

Environmental Impact of our roof coating
Environment-conscious? Let us ressure you.
Our roof renovation process has minimal detrimental impact on the environment. We avoid re-roofing the timber lathes. Battens are retained and not replaced by timber treated with obnoxious and harmful chemicals used in the tanalising process.Aquashield roof coating uses Therma-G-tex, which puts a special heat-retentive coat on your roof, saving upto 25% heat loss. This lowers your utility bills while adding to the green cause.
