AdventureQuest Worlds Lands of Lore

AdventureQuest Worlds is an massively multiple online game that is 100% browser based. The game is played on your Internet browser, so it requires no downloads or special software, only the latest Flash version.

AQW is loosely based upon the fantasy world called Lore created by Artix Entertainment that include Adventure Quest, DragonFable, and MechQuest. It is the fourth major release by Artix Entertainment.

Adventurers travel throughout an unnamed continent that is made up of huge areas of unexplored land. Regions are defined by kingdoms or lands defined by geographical features. For example, the borders of Oaklore are enforced by the armies of the capital city, Swordhaven. The area known as the Neverglades is defined by the swamps and ruins of that region.

Dwarfhold is the home of the dwarves.

A rough, mountainous region, Dwarfhold has thick pine forests in the south that give way to rocky peaks. Wildlife is abundant throughout the forests, with pine grizzlies, leatherwings, and cranky red turtles throughout. A tribe of Pine Trolls makes its home in the south. Dwarfhold has the following major areas:

• Pine Forest (/join pines): No NPC, Twistedtooth boss.
• Inn Ternet (/join tavern): Snowbeard NPC.
• Llama Farm (/join llama): Donna Charmer NPC
• Dwarfhold Keep: Huge, lots of bosses and NPCs.
• The Citadel: See below.

Citadel is one of the larger areas in AdventureQuest Worlds. It can be subdivided into the Caves and the Citadel Keep. The area is built for levels 12-15 and the monsters will attack anyone who comes near. NPCs and bosses include:

• Murry: in the main screen, Murry has many quests for you to go on.
• Inquisitor Captain: This low-boss is located at the footsteps of the Citadel.
• Crusader: Located at the door of the Citadel, this boss may take a couple people or small group to defeat.
• Beltrot: A demon that must be destroyed!
• The Grand Inquisitor: Fight him after defeating Belrot.

The Caves are currently under construction. It seems to be a complex area in which you can get lost. There is an NPC named Miltonius in the Caves but he just tells you things are under construction.

The entire valley was invaded by legions of Chaos.

Chaos Valley is more of a region than an area or town because it contains several different areas. The formal name of Chaos Valley is Chiral Valley. The name changed with the invasion of the Chaos under the command of Lord Escherion.

Currently, Chaos Valley consists of three areas: the town of Mobius, the Faerie Forest, and the ruins of Cornelis.

Mobius
The town of Mobius has two quest giving NPC's, one for each faction. Renn the Rune Warrior is the good faction NPC and Zio the Illusionist is the evil faction NPC. There are no shops.

Faerie Forest
There are two bosses and one quest giving NPC in the forest, Dew Drop the Forest Guardian. There are no shops.

Cornelis
The ruins have a boss and one quest giving NPC, Anise. No shops.

Slugfit
There is a special boss area that has Slugfit, the giant imp, and the Cyclops Warlord. If you enter the boss area from the south, from Mobius, it will still be in the Mobius area. If you enter the area from the north, from Faerie, you will be in a special area called Slugfit. This is probably a bug that needs to be worked on.

Players start in Battleon.

Areas in Greenguard are:

• Noobshire: Rolith for quests, Orc trainer boss. Level 1.
• Forest: no NPCs, Zardman boss. Level 3.
• Clubhouse: No NPCs or bosses. Has a dance studio with disco ball. Member only. Use portal to get to the sub-area Twilight:
  • Twilight: No NPCs or bosses. Get there through a portal in the clubhouse. "Uber" level.
• Farm: has a Guard for quest and Treeant boss. Level 2.
• Willow Creek: See below. Level 4.
• Orc Town: No NPCs, General Porkan boss. Level 6.
• Shallows: No NPCs, Water Elemental boss. Level 7, Member only.
• River: Pete Noggle for quests, Kuro boss. Level 8.
• Crash Site: Tarvarya for quests, Mithril Man boss, ProtoSartorium boss. Levels 15-18.

Battleon is the primary town in AQW. It contains the following NPCs/ shops:

• Twilly: Quest
• Cleric Joy: Help
• Yulgar: Weapon shop and enhancements
• Zhoom: Quest
• Cysero: Quest
• Valencia: Coins and season shop
• Warlic: Quest and magic shop
• Aria: Quest and pet shop
• Mazumi: Ninja quest and armor shop
• Zorbak: Quest
• Matrea: Rogue quest and armor shop
• Thok: Warrior quest and armor shop
• Arcana: Mage quest and armor shop
• Juvania: Healer quest and armor shop

Notes: Room 42 of the Inn is the barber shop.

Before going to Willow Creek, complete Warlic's quest, er... Willow Creek. Take the Letter of Recommendation to Church Elder Calafalas to unlock the quests in Willow Creek. Until then, the townsfolk will just tell you to find Calafalas.

Willow Creek has a lot of NPCs but they are connected through a chain quest, so you'll have to visit each one in order.

Players of Adventure Quest will find this chain quest very, very familiar. As in, it's exactly the same quest!

Swordhaven is the capital of Oaklore and the Good faction. Areas include:

• Cellar: No NPCs, Purple Slime boss. Access this through the cellar of the Inn at Battleon because getting there directly on the map will trap you. Level 4.
• Graveyard: no NPCs, Big Jack Sprat boss. Level 5.

It is the capital city for the Good faction. It has the following NPCs/ shops:

• Robina: Quest
• Artix: Quest
• Female Barber: Barber shop, special hair gel
• Female Blacksmith: Helms and pet enhancements
• Swordhaven Pizza Girl: Quest
• Weapon Smith: Weapon shop and enhancements

Untamed, this region contains the Chaos Marsh and Ruins. Areas include:

• Guru Forest: Witch for quests, Deathdoll for quests, Wisteria boss. Level 9.
• The Marsh: Bal Gravestorm for quests, Thrax Ironhide boss. "Uber" level.
• Ruins: No NPCs, Dread Spider boss. "Uber" level.

The capital of the Evil faction, Shadowfall, is located in this region. Areas include:

• Vasalkar Lair: Galanoth for quests, Red Dragon boss. Levels 18-20.
• Bloodrut Keep: Four Thief Ghosts for quests; four Elemental bosses. Becomes progressively more difficult as you do floors. Levels 3-15.
• Death: Grim Reaper NPC for creating dracoliches.

Shadowfall is the capital for the Evil faction. It is the remains of Sepulchure's once mighty flying castle. The Evil shop is located in Shadowfall, as well as the lovely and evil Gravelyn.

This area is set to expand with subsequent updates. Right now there is only the shop and Gravelyn who has one quest.

After a harrowing ride on a stormy sea, one may face the evil Undead Voltaire.

Home of the Dragon Koi Tournament.

Yokai Island (or simply Yokai) is the home of an ancient civilization. Based upon ancient Japan, the island is thick with elementals and monsters. It is also the home of the Dragon Koi tournament where adventurers can test their mettle against a variety of foes in an arena.

These areas are on the map but not in tamed lands.

• Lolosia: Elissa Keelhaul for quests, Pirate gear, and Pirate class. Shark Bait boss. Level 7.
