Living furniture and houses grown from trees. Sounds like something from the tree-hugger fringe, but it's both beautiful and possible for anyone with a little land and a little patience. With fast-growing trees like the hybrid poplars, you could grow/shape/pleach a piece of furniture in a year or two, and a cottage or house in three or four years.
