Architects leverage an expanded skill set that relies on designing, analyzing and managing projects completely in a digital format.
Facility owners (the client) are clearly redefining project deliverables. Paper drawings and simple CAD files do not meet their requirements for building lifecycle management.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) and associated technology trends enhances many aspects of a design firm's business model.
Properly implemented, the BIM design process maximizes a firm's opportunities for labor outsourcing, procuring new commissions, securing local and remote talent, marketing additional services and obtaining cost effective distant learning for professional development.
