If architecture is just a hobby, then Architectural Record Magazine might be too much for you. At least we as a magazine subscription service are not staking our fortunes on this magazine and therefore we do not have to know everything about it. Chances are that only a small part of the content in each monthly magazine might tantalize your curiousity.

Having said all this preamble, Architectural Record Magazine is a good and serious architecture journal. So the key question is not whether to read it or not, but how to read it wisely or read which issue(s).

We have a lot of corporate magazine subscribers and we even sell subscriptions to a bunch of school and public libraries so we don't really have a handle on who subscribes or who reads it but we do have a good idea on what types of people actually subcsribe to the magazine. And suffice it to say that the audience is far reaching.

Why pay retail when you can save a heck of a lot on a subscription

Basically, the beauty of a magazine subscription is the time you save not having to go to a newsstand. And secondly, you also get to put money in your pocket because you don't pay full retail prices per issue and instead you get 12 issues for a fraction of what you would spend 12 times a year individually.

Reading this magazine is quite enjoyable because of its easy layout, and of course because of the type of content each issue contains. Architectural Record Magazine is truly worth giving 4 or 5 stars. One of the most noteworthy architects must be Frank Lloyd Wright. To know that he wrote in this magazine is so truly encouraging to all of us.
