Are You Entertained?

I have long believed that, as an adult, you are entirely responsible for creating a life that you want. This concept really became crystal clear to me when, at a concert by my favorite singer, Amy Grant, I was feeling ecstatic about my front row seats, singing and dancing to every song, and Amy Grant looked down from the stage, pointed at me, and said "...And you are having entirely too much fun!". I thought later, of course I am, I worked hard to get these seats and quite frankly, it is a concert, and "If it doesn't move you...What's the point?" If it doesn't move you...What's the point? Art, Music, Games, Food, Literature, even clothing - these are some of the essential parts of the human experience, connecting strangers' and lovers' souls, celebrating the very spirit of humanity. The need to express the inner world and to feel the connection to God or to the universe is what separates humans from animals. Art that inspires, uplifts, frees, or otherwise helps humans deal with that "human condition" is priceless and necessary for a genuine existence. It makes the difference between being lethargic, and defeated, allowing circumstance to determine your life or living your life energetic, centered and ready to create your world and live an Inspired Life.
