HERE'S WHAT I THINK ABOUT MONKEYBRAIN
Arguments are a waste of time
YOUR TURN!
arguments are a waste of time

Yes, you're right!
booker100 says:
If you know the other person is not going to change their mind, or as soon as it can be determined that is the case, then don't argue with them.
Larry Bradley says:
Arguments are a waste of time when you lack a common purpose, rules and definitions. That's why we have polarized politics. We use the words liberal and conservative as if we know what they mean. We need to get away from labels, issues and personalities and instead focus on principles and outcomes. Read more at www.TheCenterStrikesBack.com

I also love the irony of this conversation. I am a regular reader of Seth's books and was a little disappointed when I read that. That's just because I prefer visiting sites that are positive and uplifting. Arguments usually aren't positive and can be demoralizing.
I for one end up staying away from sites that are controversial, cut others down, or are negative.
I believe that in many cases they leave someone feeling like

Seth called ME a "MonkeyBrain" .. now it's getting personal

seitler says:
Encouraging people to fight for the express purpose of selling merchandise and earning affiliate revenue is pathetic.
WarrenWhitlock says:
fun is fine.. encouraging people to fight to promote your site is not so good. I like Squiddo and I'm a Seth Godin fan... after all, this whole arguement is on HIS system.
But couldn't it just be a "discussion" for the monkeybrains?
Travis Seitler says:
Instead of fixing lens-development problems that Squidoo users have been complaining about for years, Seth and Co. just try to add extra veneers to Squidoo. That's not a Purple Cow, that business-as-usual.
nothingwrongwithme says:
Hey, total linkbait.
WarrenWhitlock says:
Seth Godin just wants to get us to spend more time on Squidoo. No useful good will come of MondyBrain.
No way, Monkeybrain!
KimberlyDawnWells says:
LOL Looks like Warren got sucked right into Seth's argument. ;)
FloydBogart says:
They are only a waste of time for people with closed minds. If you are really listening to the other party then no, it is not a waste of time.
On the other hand, if you are not listening to the other viewpoint but are just waiting for our turn to talk, then yes you are wasting your time.
So they are not a waste of my time, but probably are for you...
trev0r says:
If you never argue then you never learn.
sethgodin says:
A waste of time? What's time for, really? To argue, I say.
Don Aeries says:
Arguments are a waste of time...
Not really, they're like jacked up discussions -- they're great for so many different reasons
However, from my 5 minutes experience here, 'monkeybrain' is nothing more than another platform to link to, write blogs about, and place to sell books...
MeganCasey says:
Trolling and flaming and harassing are a waste of time, sure. But argument, debate, discussion, conversation -- call it what you like, but without it the world would be a pretty scary place. (I love the irony of your lens, btw).
Adam Singer says:
its actually pretty fun -- you know some things can just be for fun, right?
Reverend Ted Haeger says:
Y'all think that SG would shamelessly self-promote?!
This whole paranoid-suspicion-on-the-Net thing has finally gone over the line!
devin says:
you mom.
