Arizona Federal Credit Union

What is a Credit Union? And how does it differ from a regular bank or loan lender? Well, a credit union - some government controlled, known as Federcal Credit Unions, some privately controlled - is different from a bank in that it is owned and controlled by it's members rather than stockmarket shareholders. The owners ARE the customers and members. When someone opens an account with the credit union they become a joint owner of the organization.

Arizona Credit Unions

Why do people join credit unions rather than go to banks? For various reasons, primarily due to the more personal friendly service they feel they receive, plus in some cases a small local credit union can actually offer better interest rates or more favorable terms compared to traditional lenders.

No matter which lender you choose, it always pays to investigate fully all the options and competing rates and deals. You may find a credit union offers the best deal, another time a bank may offer the best deal. Make sure you always check.
