Aromatherapy and Essential Oils have been used for thousands of years, and for many different purposes. They are used for healing,cosmetic and bathing. When you use incense or perfume they have essences and oils from plants and herbs. Bath products are scented with this also.

Aromatherapy works in different ways. You use them for therapeutic and physical benefits. There are different kinds of oil. For instance there is carrier oil, hydrosol and essential oils. You will want to know what effects of each oil and how they work for you.

Aromatherapy Recipe

Aromatherapy scents can spice up your life. Essential oils can be used for healthful purposes and aesthetic use. These aromatherapy oils are said to enhance your life. Ease congestion of the chest, brought on by colds, flu, or sinusitis with this recipe.

To uplift your mood try this aromatherapy and essential oil recipe. Add 2 drops geranium, 2 drops rosewood, and 2 drops bergamot to 6 teaspoons of massage oil. You can use plain base or carrier oil also. Wear mixture as a fragrance or inhale from bottle. Their effects will be lingering and long lasting.

Refreshing Aromatherapy Steam Facial

Boil a pot of water and pour water into a bowl. While
steaming, add 2 drops eucalyptus, 2 drops lavender, 2 drops tea tree. Place your head over the bowl and cover with towel. Inhale steaming blend for at least 3 minutes.

Aromatherapy Bath Salt Recipe: Salt Glow

1 cup fine bath salt
1/2 cup grape seed oil
1/4 cup avocado oil
1 tablespoon d-alpha Tocopheral Vitamin E
20-30 drops essential oil blend

Mix oils and put into a glass storage jar with airtight lid. Slowly add salt and mix well. Store in cool dark place for longest shelf life.

    I can't wait to try the bath salt recipe. It's going to be really nice tonight once I get done working, cooking, cleaning, feeding the kids and putting them to bed. I can't wait :)

    Hey, I just bumped into your lens here, it's really cool! My wife and just had our first professional full hour massage last year. I highly recommend it!!

    If any married dudes are reading this, and think you would be uncomfortable about it, most place have a room for two, with two mooses I mean masseuses together at the same time. Take her with you. Don't worry - be happy!

    Wow. I like your lens. I am definitely going to try some Aroma Therapy. It has to be a great stress reliever.

    I do my own Aroma Therapy at home, but I didn't know that's what it was. I have a steamer on my wood burning stove that I love to add peppermint oil to. The aroma permeates the home. It's great.
