Essential oils are extracted from various plants, several methods of extraction such as distillation and cold pressing which aim for the purest of oil, are used to extract the oil from the plants, however as this results in very small quantities, then there are methods such as solvent extraction, or turbo distillation. For the best and most natural types of essential oil hydro diffusion or carbon dioxide Extraction are used. Needless to say our oils are definitely made in the using the best way resulting in the most natural aroma.

The aim of Aromatherapy is for people to respond to the sense of smell at an emotional level, therefore the purer the oil the better the response.

Cedarwood Oil. This oil comes from the cedar tree, and its odor is mild and pleasant, woody, almost sweet. If it seeps from the tree it is yellowy in color however when extracted for use as an aromatherapy oil, it takes on a white/watery color.

It has traditionally been used for long term ailments as opposed to acute ones, and essentially for problems of the respiratory tract, it may help ease bronchitis, coughs, catarrh. It benefits kidney infections when used as a tonic. Used as an astringent it is good for skin conditions, acne, oily skin, scabs and even chronic conditions such as dermatitis and psoriasis. As a hair tonic it is good against dandruff and seborrhea. When massaged into the skin, it can be effective for rheumatism and arthritis, and finally used in a room diffuser its pleasant odor has a calming and soothing effect, it is however an odor which is highly repellent to mosquitos.
