My Cousins' Amazing Trip Around the World in One Year

Meet the Brundiges - No, Not Me, My Cousins!
Have you ever wanted to take a trip around the world? Well, my cousins are doing it, and you can follow along in their Capitol Creek Blog!
My uncle James impressed me when I was a kid. He was the sound guy on many NOVA specials, always away in Tibet or Anatarctica or other faraway places. In 1996, he and his wife Chelsea Congdon founded First Light Films, an independent film company covering the Earth's natural wonders, eco-tourism, and ways in which people around the world are living harmony with the environment.
Now that their kids are old enough, they're taking a one-year sabbatical to travel the globe.
Where are they this week? Let's check out the Brundiges' travel blog!
Update June 2011: My cousins, aunt and uncle spent spring in San Carlos de la Bariloche. Guess what? A volcano has erupted about 50 miles away and is dropping volcanic debris all over the city in drifts -- it's gritty pulverized rock about the size of sand! Read more about this on my volcanoes page.

You need to visit their blog to see their incredible photos, which are FANTASTIC, since both are professional filmmakers. I don't want to repost them here because (a) I need to double-check with permissions, as they may want to use some for their professional work, and (b) it's fun to see MORE photos than the ones they shared! Also, they might like to see how other people saw the places they visited, when they get home.
So here's a quick tour of just a FEW of all the places they visited, using Creative Commons photos found on Flickr. These photographers have generously given permission for us to repost their work. The links ABOVE each photo take you to the Brundiges' blog posts, and more photos!

October: Seychelles, Indian Ocean
After gallivanting all over Africa and taking MANY amazing photos, they took a break on the Seychelles islands between Kenya and India. I can see why.

November: Northern India
My uncle spent a lot of time in Tibet and India in his younger days. In fact, he's Buddhist. So they're spending five weeks in India. Here are pilgrims to the Ganga River in Haridwar, India.

Early December: Southern India
