From the lens Art Cars - Decorate Your VW Bus, Auto, Truck or Bike.

I think it would be nifty to create an art car as sort of a prepped "canvas" and let people decorate a section or add their graffiti autograph for a fee, then donate the proceeds to charity. Have you ever created a work of art from your car, truck, bus, bike or other ride?

    This is awesome! I have always loved art cars and wanted to make one... Maybe I will do it with my current vehicle, a 1978 Lindy motorhome! I have already started decorating the inside and hanging my art on the walls. I also used colored tissue paper and mod podge to create a stained glass effect on the rear (bathroom) window.

    Yo You! Ah, how truly delightful -- living in the South, I can surely see having an art car that gets a lot of southern exposure. Oh, mine wouldn't be a weenie though, you know?

    Wow ! How I remember those conversion vans of my younger days.... Some of the murals and interiors were amazing! Very nice lens.

    Oh man if you want any image contributions I have a picture of a nativity inspired mini van. It's along the lines of your New Orleans example. Saw it at Furgerson's auto shop in, CA.

    That sounds like a really awesome idea. When I worked for a gallery we did this, but it was a canvas, not a car. Would be really cool to do it with a car!

    What fun! Back in my old hippy days, art cars were pretty common and its nice to know they haven't gone away. They do draw my eye when I see them but have never done my own car.

    Some decortaed cards are so awesome. When I was a child I wanted one like in Scooby Doo, the hippie style van. You have a wonderful collection of car art here. Great lens :)
