    Wow! Such a great info!
Is it possible to add an info on art competitions and exhibitions for children?
    I would be much appreciated.

I'll give that some thought. It's not something I know much about.

Hi! there is a competition, www.art-interview.com/competition_prospectus.html which is international and has a prize of around 17,000 EURO. As its online its a great oppurtunity as people don't have to organise any transport for their works etc... perhaps you could list it on here? thanks!

I think you've maybe missed reading the title and scope of this site and hence missed the point. This is a site about art competitions in the UK. Listing all international art competitions is a whole different ball game!

Hi I notice that the No women, no peace. art and design competition isn't listed. would it be possible to add it please?

www.nowomennopeace.org. There’s a £500 prize, and it’s a great opportunity for people to showcase their work in front of some key people from the art world as well as supporting a campaign for women and peacebuilding!

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll check that one out.

If you read this lens you will see that NONE of the major art competitions in the Uk require you to have an art education qualification. I'm afraid I don't quite understand your frustration. If you want to show your work I suggest you try reading the small print rather than assuming that your lack of qualifications are some sort of barrier to success

Not so: the £15,000 Broomhill Art Sculpture Prize is open only to "artists currently studying (or within 10 years of graduation) an Art related course at a recognised School of Art" (www.broomhillart.co.uk/national-sculpture-prize/conditions.html).

Is this a major art prize?

I'd never heard of it before and had to go and look it up. It's unclear to me that this is going to be annual art prize and this seems to me to be a minimum requirement for any 'major art prize'.

As it stands, and having read the details of how it works, I think I'd regard this as an art prize and my previous comment stands.

The frustration I have is that so many of the competitions exclude my work because I have never trained or held any art education type qualifications. I create because I can and have a need to do so. I have a web site www.netzfineart.com and if one has a look I have just completed a bronze I wish to show.

Just continiue with your art. I saw your web.site, and I think you need not to worry about competitions....you are very talented artist on your own, and talent is not something which one can get it on academy...one has talent or not, simple as that....one has something to say trough his art language or not....many people know how to write, but one is Dostoevsky,Tolstoy, Shakespereare......

This lens looks like a great resource for artists in the U.K.
