I LOVE looking at other people's art journals but have come to love doing digital art too much to make my own. Blessed. :)
  • aesta1 Mar 19, 2010 @ 11:26 pm | delete
Zentangle is new to me but I know it is something I would enjoy. I never thought of doing an art journal when I like to paint and doodle. What you are doing is great.
  • WildFacesGallery Feb 13, 2010 @ 9:37 am | delete
This is simply brilliant. I've had a journal made by an artist friend of mine (she made the paper and bound it) and I've yet to feel comfortable about touching those pristine pages with anything less worthy. This may just be the thing.

I love your work! Great lens!
  • KarenTBTEN Feb 3, 2010 @ 12:19 am | delete
I've moved online with a lot of the things I used to put in journals. I still doodle offline, though -- and occasionally create things that involve tangible materials. Journals are so pretty!

I had to stop myself from running out to the store and buying all sorts of art supplies after reading this lens. :-) You know what I'm thinking of doing? Taking an old phone book and turning it into an art journal.

This is a beautiful and very inspiring page - I love the way you encourage everyone to have a go at an art journal, regardless if whether they consider themselves to be artists. Thanks for sharing your creative talents with us!
  • crosscreations Nov 25, 2009 @ 11:36 pm | delete
WOW! Your art journals are absolutely fabulous!!! I am truly impressed. They really remind me of some of the mixed media artwork I see at another site I adore, just recently made a lens about it, you MUST visit Artella Words and Art and let me know what you think. And just HOW did you create those beautiful slideshows? Saw a flickr link, I think, in ink, but it wasn't pink...I digress. One of my favs is the boy in the shoe with a tail)...celebrate boy hugs.
5*s and kudos and A+++ :-) new fan!
  • Jewelsofawe Nov 23, 2009 @ 3:05 pm | delete

5* and a favorite! Love the zentangles! Rolling this to Stocking Stuffers for Artistic Kids, as I think a fresh new journal would be a great stocking stuffer for an artistic adult (like you!)

Very nice work, I enjoyed looking through your art journal pages. 5*s
  • SpellOutloud Oct 19, 2009 @ 8:43 pm | delete
I love your art journal! I used to do altered books and other altered art, but I don't have anywhere to leave my stuff out while working, so I've switched to digital scrapbooking. I still do like to do a paper project every now and then. I've even started an art journal---maybe I'll pull it out and start working on it again.
