The Dream

I wonder what she dreams about? A man? A child? Love? Fame? Perhaps Picasso?1932. The model is Marie-Therese, one of Picasso lovers. They had a daughter, Maia.
In 2006, Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Wynn was going to sell the original for $139 million, but he accidentally poked his elbow through the canvas the day before! He then paid $90,000 to have it repaired and it was then believed to be worth no more than $85 million. Consequently, Wynn sued Lloyd's of London over the 54 million dollar loss.
