"Art Smith (1917-1982) is considered one of the most important modernist jewelers of the mid- 20th century. His biomorphic jewelry was designed to be an integral part of the body of the wearer." - Marabeth Schon
Art Smith is among the Artists featured in many books about Modernist Jewelry.

'A piece of jewelry, he said, is a 'whatisit?' until you relate it to the body%u2026Like line, form, and color, the body is a material to work with."
