My Hero, My Father
People have asked me, which of your lenses do you enjoy the most.
I have to say hands down it is this one, this is about my father, Harold Leo Means. A man that I truely admired as a human being, a husband, a father, a World War II hero.
He was one of those men that lived through some amazing times, during the great depression, world war II, he had many struggles during his life, many hardships, and sorrows (He lost his mom when he was a young teenager, father not around). And yet you would never ever know that he had been through those hard times, because there was not a bitter bone in his body. He chose to see the bright side of things.
He taught me that there is good in all people, that some you may just have to dig a little deeper to find it, but it is there.
This lens stands alone in content, and is very special to my heart.
I give you, my father, my hero!

My Art Lenses
I didn't know it but I have always been an artist.
When I was young I thought I had no talents, but I see the world just a little differently. My daughter once said she never really truely "saw" a sunset until she experienced them with me. Because she would look at them and say "ooh pretty" then look away. When we started walking together, I would bring point out the beautiful colors and how each second it was changing, the feeling that you experience in your heart as God unfolds the beauty of a sunset to you, is like no other. He truly is the greatest artist of all, and I am grateful to be allowed to "see" the beauty in the world that surrounds us.
I love trying to recreate those feelings I feel, after witnessing the beauty of wildlife and nature, with my paintbrush.
