Hello! Welcome to my dog art lens! I love to paint animals and I especially love to paint dogs. Pure breed dog or mutts - each one is cute and looks beautiful to me. I turned some of my dog paintings into designs and I would like to share them with you. They are not your typical designs, but hopefully, someone will find them cute. My wish is that my dog designs show off how much I love dogs. I surely enjoyed painting and than making the designs. I hope you will enjoy viewing what I made! Dog Painting Tips
If you want to try your hand at painting dogs, I could give you a few tips.
Dog painting tip number one! Relax and enjoy. If the painting doesn't turn out good you can always start from scratch and make another one.
Dog painting tip number two! Draw a pencil sketch and paint the eyes first. The eyes, if done well will carry the soul of the painting.
Dog painting tip number three! Have a lot of reference photos. Not many dogs will keeps still for long enough to serve as a model. Photos will help you understand better the anatomy of the dog.
Dog painting tip number four! Give it time. Don't give up if you are not happy with your first few drawings or paintings. Keep trying and you'll get better quite quickly.
There it is. Not much, but you don't need too many advice. Just get a pen and some paper and do it.

Portuguese Pointer Portrait

Bulldog Painting
One of my new dog paintings...
I hear that bulldogs are really friendly dogs and I am sure they are.This is my first bulldog painting and I enjoyed a great deal painting it. Without a doubt I will go back to painting bulldogs soon.
I drew and painted this one with watercolor pencils which are my favorites when it comes to painting animals.
