Art dolls take a mixed-media approach to doll making. Sometimes, they look very much like the dolls we played with as children, and sometimes, they look nothing like dolls at all. The styles and techniques used by art doll makers range from traditional porcelain and cloth beauties to hammered and rusted metal icons. Who says a doll has to have arms or a face?
