What does it take to make an artist?
Is it ability? State of mind? Who you hang out with? Or where? How you talk or how you dress? Where you market, or how you market your work?
Think about it. How long had you been creating your art before you felt comfortable with calling yourself an "artist"? And I mean really comfortable.
One thing I can tell you it takes is desire. A compelling desire to look someone in the eye letting them know that you have worked hard to learn these skills and nothing can take that away.
Another thing is pride. Knowing that you were able to accomplish something that at one time was beyond your ability.
Lets not forget hunger. The yearning to succeed at something that is all yours, and only yours. That signature will be yours alone.

Your artwork is incredible. Great job on this lens. A combination of #1 and 2 from the above points are definitely the most important ingredients for an artist.
