Santa Fe NM is famous for it's culture and art community. People travel from all over the world for our events and art shows. Though we are a relatively small city, we also have so many events raising $$$ for lots of charities, non-profits, and causes. Thus Santa Fe might take a few awards for concern and generousity.
When people come together on a key concern or issue, they can do remarkable things to create solutions at home. Rally friends and create your special funds, or support a local non-profit. The world grows bigger, and gets more change accomplished, when we start at home to create our own solutions.

Help fund the Emergency Medical Fund for artists

Most artists don't work this small and so I assume the prices will be more affordable. Also small works can fit anywhere and definitely enliven the area. If you can't make the event, see if you can put a bid in beforehand, or request a commission where the artist might agree to add to fund. Easier yet send a small donation to a worthy cause.
One thing I love about Santa Fe is the way the community rallies around many many issues to help one another. Also google the Santa Fe Foundation to see all the work they accomplish. As you read about such events here, you might ponder if you could create or support similar endeavors in your community. Creativity certainly establishes a strong and vibrant community here in Santa Fe. Need some help? Invite some artists to have a fundraiser in your town. Please contribute a small commission to the artists involved, or even order several commissions of art pieces, pay the artist and sell the work for a profit. Read on%u2026.

The 11th annual Santa Fe Artists Emergency Medical Fund silent auction will be held 5-7:00pm on Sunday Dec. 14 at the Riva Yares Gallery. More than $20,000 is raised each year at this exhibit. The Santa Fe Artists Emergency Medical Fund provides financial assistance to uninsured artists through grants administered by the Santa Fe Community Foundation.
Artists are invited to donate an original 6" x 6" work of art or small sculpture. This year more than 100 artists from the United States, France, China and the Czech Republic will contribute.
