Arthritis Information and Remedies

Are your joints stiff and sore? Do you have swollen or hard build-up around your finger joints? If so you probably have arthritis. The most common forms of arthritis are gout, rheumatoid, osteoarthritis, and infectious or toxic arthritis.

Overuse of the joints can cause osteoarthritis and this type of arthritis is usually worse in the morning and improves with movement. But it seems the true basic cause of osteoarthritis isn't known except that it becomes worse with age.
Straying away from animal products, chemicals, sugar and processed foods can help slow down the development of osteoarthritis.

Rheumatoid Arthritis doesn't have a known cause but could originate from a toxin that may attack the joint directly. Using an activated charcoal compress on joints may remove the pain and redness and clear it up for awhile. Use plenty of wet charcoal to completely cover the joint.

Gout is usually caused by uric crystals build up around the joint. These crystals rise in your body when you eat animal products or bakers and brewers yeast. Activated charcoal compresses can help here too, sometimes completely clearing it up.

Arthritis may also be improved by staying away from the nightshade food family. The nightshade foods include tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant and peppers.
When trying one of these remedies a journal should be kept on your arthritis pain and stiffness to see which of these treatments give relief. Each remedy (except the charcoal compress, which should be on for 48 hours) should be given at least 3 months to give an adequate trial.
