Doctors immediately want to perform tests if you complain about pain, so they can determine arthritis or any damage to your body. My doctors have requested 2 different types of surgery for me, which I do not agree with. My mother has had 4 back operations, and my sister 3 back operations. I won't go into all the complications of back pain relief through surgery, but hopefully you get the general view by the amount of operations they have both experienced.

Another option for pain relief is drugs. I stated on another of my natural medicine pages that my sister caught her kitchen on fire, with the cause being taking the amount of pain relief drugs she was prescribed!

So many of the arthritis pain relief, joint pain relief, and lower back pain relief drugs have bad side effects and are habit forming; making you dependant of them; and you will periodically have to increase the amount taken to block the pain.

Two of the newest options are more surgery, implanting a nerve pulser that is somewhat similar to the tens unit that is used without surgery. Another is implanting a regulator and administer of morphine. My sister has had the first operation for lower back pain relief, and just recently has had the second operation.
