Article Marketing Strategy

I've seen several blogs and websites where case studies have been done that state that this no longer works but they either don't target it the right way or only put up one article and wait for the money to roll in, and it isn't going to happen this way.

What you will be doing is targeting unique long tail keyword that will rank on the front page of google. Don't worry it is not as hard as it sounds. Using high PR article directories like Ezinearticles.com, Goarticles.co, Ideamarketers.com and other top article sites. An example of this is if you were to go to www.google.com for "get your ex back" a poplar e-book on clickbank.com you will see that the top 2 results at the time I wrote this was articles from ezine articles. Do you see how they did that with long tail keywords? Do you think they are making some really good money without even paying anything for advertising. you bet they are.

Some of the article directories like ezine article will require you to have your own website and some allow you to use a affiliate link in your author bio: be sure to check the terms of service to be sure. To get around this without spending any money you can setup a free blog or an account here at http://www.squidoo.com. on your subject with links to your affiliate program.

Two of the really great places to get affiliate products are at clickbank.com and www.cj.com. its free to sign up for both of these. Search through these and find an affiliate program you are interested in and apply to it. If its something your interested in or know a good deal about you will find it much easier to write your articles about it.

When you have picked your product then you will begin the most important part of bum or article marketing. "Your keywords and article title" are what will get you on the first page of google. What I use and its free is Google Adwords Keyword tool. when you type your keyword in and click get keyword ideas it will give you a list witch will include your keyword with the number of searches but will also include a number of other keywords related to your keyword with the number of searches for those each month also.

What you are looking for is keyword phrases with around 3,000 searches per month with less than 5,000 pages of competition. The best advice I can think of about keywords is to stay away from 1 or 2 keyword phrase and try to go with longer phrase of from 3 to 5 words. They tend to have less searches but much less competition

Again for finding less competition for a key phrase I use google. Go to www.google.com again only this time when you do a search for your keyword phrase you include them in "" and hit search. So if we went to our search term from earlier instead of typing get your ex back and searching we would this time put it into quotes like "get your ex back" and search.

Look in the upper right corner just above the search where it says "results 1 - 10 of about 489,000. as you can see from this result that we are still way out of the range for the competition we are seeking, so how did they get listed as number one on google? Simple they created a long tail keywords by adding "how to" and "the simple guide" to the phrase.

What was get your ex back becomes "how to get your ex back the simple guide" again if you do this search you can see the competition is in the range we are looking for. Now are we going to get on the front page of google every time with this method. No but we can do it enough to make some good money if we keep at it.

So you say you cant write? Well if you can read you can write a 300 to 700 word article, I am certainly no writer but have many articles online right now and am making income off of them. Once you have your keywords and title you can find all the info online you need to write the article body.

Again I hate to say it but google is a great way to learn about almost any subject you can think of, there's articles on most all subjects also. You can search forums or something like yahoo answers to see what people are saying about anything. Just read about your subject and write about it in your own words, never copy some ones work or words,

If you are embarrassed about your writing you can use a pen name and no one will never know who you are, it really doesn't matter anyways as long as your making good money right? After you have written a few articles you will find it becomes easier and you get better at it.

I use Microsoft word to write all my articles because it has a build in spell check that I need desperately because I am horrible at spelling. Even if your articles are not 100% perfect your spelling needs to be near 100% correct. There are other software programs that do mostly the same you can do a search for them if you don't have word.

Be sure you use your key word phrase a few times in your article. Make the article body, title and keywords relevant to one another. Your article has to be about what your title leads your viewers to believe.

In most all article directories you can not place a link anywhere in the article body or title. Your only place to advertise your affiliate or website link is in the author bio or resource box. This is where you really sell your reader to click on your link for more info. Make it good and compelling that they must click by making them curious or wanting to know more. After your title I would say this is the next most important part of article marketing
