Article writing mistakes that you must avoid at all cost.

Our goal in writing articles and submitting them to the article directories, is to have them go viral and mass distributed on to many other websites. In this article, I have written down some mistakes you must avoid at all cost when writing your articles.

#1. Most writing editors, such as Article Architect, have a built in spell check. Therefore there is absolutely no reason to have spelling errors in your articles. Spelling errors show a lack of care and often shows that the article was put together slap happy.

#2. Grammatical and punctuation mistakes make the article more difficult to read and could distract our reader from understanding the true contents of the article. Ensure that your articles are proof reader prior to submitting them. It is a good idea to get someone else to proof read the final copy as sometimes we overlook our own mistakes.

#3. Ensure your title has really hot. It must be attention grabbing. I use Article Architect to assist me when I am brainstorming for title ideas.

#4. Cut the hype and the bragging. This is a real turn off to most readers. Your articles must be about them. Your articles must have a "What's in it for ME" as your reader really don't care about you.

#5. Abusing the bio box is a "No, No". Ensure you are courteous to your reader and not have more than one link in your bio box and ensure that link takes your reader to the exact product or more information on the topic of your article.

#6. Don't under any circumstances plagiarize anyone else's work. Did you know that an idea can not hold a copy right? Instead of fully copying someones work, just write don't one keyword at a time and then write from memory what you have learned in your research of the topic. If you have read and understood your research, then you will find that words will come easily and you will end up with a great original article.

#7. Wow your reader. Make sure that your reader learns something from your article. This may mean that you will have to write in depth on the topic. Teach them something new and make yourself look "the expert" on your topic.

I am sure that if you keep these 7 tips in mind when you are writing your articles, you will end up with more articles being distributed all over the internet.

Get More Propects Down Your Funnel

Whether you are writing articles or writing for your website or blog, there are some rules that you must keep in mind. Since your main objective is to publish great content that will attract target prospects, qualify those prospects and lead them down your sales funnel, the following tips will assist you to achieve your goal even if you are not a natural writer.

1. The first point to ask yourself is, what is it about my product or service that will benefit my prospect the most. As your prospect is reading your article, they are looking for, what is known in the marketing arena, "What's in it for me". In other words, why should they read your article. You must reward your reader for their time. Add value to your article and make it worth their while to read it.

When you are writing your draft copy, think of the 5 W's. Who, what, why, when and where. Try to base your copy around these questions.

Write on purpose. As you write each sentence, ask yourself if that sentence is of value to your reader. If you use your keywords often, you will find it easier to stay on topic. Plus the search engines will love your writing and rank you higher. If you have structured your introduction correctly as I have outlined in my free ebook, you will find it easier to, not only stay on topic but hit each point in a structured manner and you will be more consistent with delivering articles that are on target.

2. Remember KISS. Keep It Short and Simple. Write short sentences with one idea per sentence. Spoon feed your information to your reader a little bit at a time.

Ensure you use easy to understand language. Not everyone is familiar with the jargon in your industry.

Write articles that get to the point very quickly and don't fill up the page will sentences or paragraphs are are not relevant. If you do have a lot of relevant information on the topic you are writing about, then consider breaking the article down into smaller articles and posting them over several days. You could call the articles part 1, part 2 etc.

Try to write in a conversational manner. Pretend you are explaining instructions on how to do a certain task to your friend. Liven your article up sharp, snappy and snazzy words.

3. Link as often as you can to previous articles or to other sites that provide additional information you are refering to. This will assist you to build a network of complementary sites where the owner will in turn link back to your website or blog.

4. Ensure you run your article through a spell checker and proof-read your article at least twice. An article full of grammar and spelling mistakes indicate a lack of respect for your reader. Your article is a representation of you, your product and service. So take a bit more time and polish up your articles.

5. Your bio box is just as important as your introduction. The bio box is the last chance you have to motivate your reader into visiting your site or taking the next action step in your marketing process. Make it enticing, hot and give something away for free.

As you know, many successful internet marketers use article marketing as their major force to drive traffic to their websites and blogs. Chances are, they were not born with any magnificent writing talents. Instead they spent their time learning, practicing and improving upon their newly required writing skills until their were able to pump out articles quickly and easily. The good news is, you too can develop the skills and learn how to write an article with ease. In this article I am going to show you the basics on how to write an article.

Most articles have the same structure. The introduction, 3-4 paragraphs and then the conclusion. If your goal is to use articles as a way to drive traffic to your website or blogs, all you need do is write short articles of about 300-400 words and submit the article to the article directories. You will be able to clock up this amount of words in one article by writing an introduction made of 4 sentences. Each paragraph need only be about 3-4 sentences long and the conclusion, 2 sentences. Before you know it, you will have sufficient words in your article to being your article writing career.

The introduction, obviously introduces the article. The first two sentences, can be very generic about the topic you are writing about. For example if you are promoting a weight loss pill you can start off with "Today many people are experiencing success in loosing weight by using weight loss pill and meal replacements. There have been a significant increase in dietary supplements on the market". As you can see, in these two sentences I have not written about anything specific. The next sentence introduces the product. "Although Weightloss Pill is a relatively new product on the market, there have been some very good success weight loss stories'. This is the first mention of the product. The final sentence here is a benefit of the product but ensure you are not trying to sell the product. You goal should be to pre-sell only.

Next are the 3-4 paragraphs. Research your product and find 3 or 4 unique benefits or features of the product. Each point creates a paragraph of it's own. Try to elaborate on each point using 3 to 4 sentences, without giving too much away. One point could be "advanced testing". This could be turned into "The Weightloss Pill is the result of advanced dietary testing. Many people from various countries are excited about these results, as there may finally be a product that could assist them to beat the battle of the bulge. Weightloss Pills are a good safe addition to a good diet and exercise program". Finally the conclusion. Try to tie these last few sentences in with the introduction. Go back to your own introduction and see what you told your reader your article was about. As you can see here, I told you that I would show you the basics of how to write an article.

My conclusion could end with "Now that I have explained how easy it is to write an article, it is vital for you to practice writing regularly to improve your writing skills. By following these steps and with practice, there is no reason why you should not be able to pump out unique articles within10-15 minutes each article". Or I could summarize the steps and that would also make a very good conclusion.
