I created this blog a long time ago, but never got around to doing anything with it. Well now I am!

It's got a real nice design (I think anyway) and I'll be adding plenty of content in there that won't fit here.

I make commentaries on questions I've been asked, I post extensive articles about article marketing, and I might even add a rant or two.

The SEO of Article Marketing

Word is starting to spread around about another new change to Google's algorithm coming very soon. But once again, it has to with our favorite topic . . .

Relevancy.

Here's the scoop. The number of back links you have will be taking a back seat to the relevancy of those back links. In other words, you could have thousands of links pointing to your site, but only those links relative to your keywords will count towards your site's link popularity.

We've seen this before however, when the link farms took a nose dive due to being a totally irrelevant mass of unstructured linkings. And any SEO expert who's worth his or her weight have been telling you that the best way to control your off site SEO is with relevancy.

Now before anyone calls this another Google Slap, you need to know why this is really a good thing for article marketing.

Article directories are set up so that each category, sub-category, and sub-sub-category are considered by the search engines as separate entities from the directory as a whole. This means that when you place your article into an appropriate and relevant category to your article's keywords, the back link you'll receive once its posted will be considered legitimate and will count toward your link's popularity.

So as long as you're submitting your articles into the right categories, this algorithm change will only help you build strong back links and get your articles into the listings for relevant searches.

On the other hand, frivolous article placement, or generalized category selection will turn your article submissions into a total waste of time.

Not only do you run the risk of not getting your articles approved for posting by the directory owners, but even if they did post them, they won't count and if anything will actually hurt both you and them.

As this new algorithm is applied, you'll begin seeing the article directories scrambling to find ways to keep irrelevant content out of their categories. And your only way in would be to follow suit and submit relevant material. But again, if you're following any of the tips from the top SEO experts pertaining to off site optimization, then you'll want to comply willingly.

Article Submitter Pro gives you full control over your article submissions and lets you put them in the best possible category. Completely SEO and algorithm friendly article marketing.

Where Should You Submit Your Articles?

There's been a lot of talk lately about article submissions. Some say you should submit your article to only a few directories with high page ranking, while others say to submit to as many directories as you can.

What's the real deal about all of this?

The Big Question About Duplicate Content

have you been duped?

There's been a lot of talk about duplicate content lately, and as often as its talked about, another script or software product comes out as a remedy.

But is it really a big problem that you should be worried about?

And if you avoid duplication at all costs, could you actually be hurting yourself?

First of all, it's impossible for you to write an article and completely avoid duplication. When you add an article to a directory, or you send it to an email group, it's understood that your article will be used by other people as content on their sites.

In addition to this fact, it's also understood that whomever uses it must leave it intact.

So to think that you should avoid duplication, in this regard, actually defeats one of the biggest reasons why you'd want to write and submit articles in the first place. That is, to get other people to add your articles to their sites to increase back links for you.

And while we're on the subject of back links, let's look at why they're so important . . .

When the search engines index sites, one of the things they look for is other sites they're linked to. The purpose for this is they're looking for popular information that a lot of people are using as a recommendation to their readers.

The more sites linking to a particular article or other web page, the greater the popularity of that article or site appears to be to the search engines.

So if an article appears on hundreds or even thousands of sites as a good reference, the search engines will also deem it good information and use it more readily as a listing during a search inquiry for related keywords.

But now the problem with changing an article over and over so that a different version appears on all other sites, is that each version would be considered a different article. So rather than a thousand sites all linking to one apparently very popular article, you'd have a thousand articles all being displayed on one site.

Considering that each appearance of an article on another site is like a "yes vote" to the search engines in their quest for popular information, which would you rather have?

A thousand articles all saying basically the same thing with one "yes vote" each? Or one article with a thousand "yes votes"?

Which would you think the search engines would pay more heed to?

The Amazing Article Formula

Attention Frustrated Article Writers: If you want to write articles that make your traffic soar, swarm your newsletter with subscribers, and swell your bank account with more revenue, then...

Discover The Top Secret Underground Formula For Writing Articles That Will Skyrocket Your Promotions!

Should An Article Directory's Page Rank Concern You?

Everybody knows that Page Rank is important. It indicates the content volume of a site, and it also proves the site's popularity, or how many external links it has pointing to it.

We all strive for the highest Page Rank we can muster for good reason. Having a high ranking means traffic, and traffic means more sales potential.

Which is why we write and submit articles. Placing articles on your site increases its relative content volume, and submitting the articles with a bio box creates external links pointing to your site.

It's all about exposure! The more we have the more profit we make.

But then the plot thickens . . .

Site Popularity doesn't come from having your links just anywhere. You see, there's a method to the madness that brings it all full circle.

To achieve a higher Page Rank through external links, you need to put your articles on sites that have an equal or higher Page Rank than yours does.

But does this apply to Article Directories?

If you're one who submits articles manually and are under time constraints, the quick answer would be yes, it does apply.

You have only so much time to get your articles into sites that will bring you the quickest exposure you can get.

However, when we look at Page Rank for Article Directories in these times of rapid fire article submission software, it becomes hard to judge the validity of the every day statisics.

Some Article Directories of late have appeared out of nowhere one week, and the next have well over 1,000 articles already submitted to them. After a month's time, some have even reached the 5 to 10 thousand article mark.

Now considering that Google adjusts a site's Page Rank every three months, an Article Directory could show a big fat "0" Page Rank one day, and after Google makes their adjustments, could climb to a PR4 or PR5 the next.

So, thinking logically, the only time an Article Directory's Page Rank should concern you is the day after Google makes its adjustments.

And even then, that would still only matter if you're in a time rush to get quality links to your site and manually submit to 5 to 10 of the best known sites to do it.

So for those who submit their articles manually, yes, current page Rank for Article Directories should concern you.

But for the rest of us, what should matter most is that, when you submit to every possible site you can, you're helping to establish more Article Directories with a higher Page Rank than ever before!

The Value of Articles

Articles that carry a message geared to certain markets have taken the fore front of advertising lately. These articles, though rarely a direct advertisement for a particular product, can be "themed" to allude to products by offering "tips and tricks", "how-to's", and other information that put's a reader in a frame of mind that could lead them to wanting the product, or at least have an interest in it.

Added to these subtle hints in the body of an article, in most cases you are allowed to add your "bio box" which is a section attached to an article that tells the reader about you, the author. Here you can add your website url that leads the reader to the very product your article alludes to.

Your article can and should be uploaded to your website for browsers to find.

But there's also a better way to utilize of your article that could bring thousands of people into ear shot of your message . . .

Along with the popularity of articles, many websites have been created to accept and post articles. These websites are frequented by other marketers looking for free content for their own websites, who are allowed to take these posted articles and place them on their own pages providing they leave the article including the "bio boxes" intact.

Consider what this means . . .

A single article could conceivably be posted on hundreds of submission sites, and reused, intact, by thousands of other marketers.

Each time your article gets posted on a submission site, you get publicity, plus an external link pointing back to your site where your sales pages are. So with just going this far, your article could bring a couple of hundred links pointing back to your promotional or sales pages.

But what happens if thousands of other marketers take your article from these submission sites and reuse it on their sites?

You end up with an enormous viral campaign is what happens!

And unlike the regular ads you see on classified pages, your articles can, in time, label you as an expert in your field because they give you room to really say what you have to say.

Yes, writing articles and submitting them to as many places as possible, can be viral and can boost your credibility, your visitors, and most of all, your sales.

Not too bad for something you can do for free!

Hey Buddy, Watch Where You're Pointing That Article

Virtually thousands of articles are written and submitted every single day. This is mostly due to Google's keen interest in relevant content.

So everyone's creating high yielding content for their AdSense sites and building significant back links by submitting their articles to article directories.

Profits are being made, people are being instantly turned into experts in their field, and the search engines are totally loving the constant flow of new content they can show their customers.

But there's one definite way you could completely "blow" the whole thing for yourself, and unfortunately far too many people are doing it lately.

You see, the key factor that makes all of this work is relevance. The search engines want to know that when someone does a search through their system, they'll get exactly what they're looking for. It's what the changing algorithms are all about.

The search engines are on a quest to find the best way to provide the most relevant material for any specific queries put in front of them, and so they keep changing their algorithms to fulfill their goal.

All we have to do is make it as easy as possible for the search engines to find this specific relevance on our sites and in the articles we write, and we have it made.

This means that, even the links on your site should be about the keywords you use because the search engines take those into consideration when they judge your site's over all relevance. In fact, if your site is about baking cookies and you accept links from sites about car parts, you're actually hurting the relevance of your site and lowering your page ranking.

But now, there's a seriously unfortunate habit a lot of article writers have gotten into. There are just so many articles being written and submitted to the article directories, that many aren't paying attention to where their articles are being posted.

Most article directories have category choices that separate their content into specific groupings. These groupings are seen by the search engines as "mother lodes" of content if they stay true to their relevancy.

Which is why article directory owners have to work so feverishly to maintain the integrity of their categories.

So If your articles get posted into the wrong category, it won't help you because your back link will be in an unrelated place. Plus the value of the category will diminish due to your article about "car parts" being in a category about "baking cookies."

Article Marketing Tip

relevancy . . .

Article Submission isn't the same as URL submission or classified ad posting. You need to fine tune the relevancy of every article you submit to make it as simple as possible for your readers to find you.

After all, that's what the search engines are trying to do. So why would you work against that by tossing your articles into any category?

Just remember, all marketing is niche marketing!

And relevancy has everything to do with it!

Why Use Article Submitter Pro?

reason #1 . . .

Article Submitter Pro

If you work on the Internet then you know that putting as much of your work on "auto-pilot" as you can will give you the best chance of success. By doing so you free yourself up to pursue new streams of income, give yourself the opportunity to keep up to date with the newest trends, and perhaps even find some leisure time to spend with family and friends.

However, there are some things that need special attention like split testing, site analytics, product planning and development, and other things like these.

In fact most experts will tell you that only about 75% of your online business should even be considered for auto-pilot, and that you need to keep constant vigil on the other 25%.

Content relevancy would fall into that 25% and will make you or break you if you don't pay attention to it!

Every one of the search engines is relevancy based. This means that if you want to be in their good graces and get good link placement, then you absolutely have to follow suit. Otherwise, neither the search engines nor the people using them will be able to find your content.

This is especially true with article submissions. Placing your articles in irrelevant categories would be like throwing a bunch of stones in the air and hoping they fall to the ground and make a tower. More than likely this wouldn't happen, and neither would spewing out articles into any random category build structure for your business.

There are over 15,000 category choices among all the article directories and each cateogry is considered the main keyword for material contained in it. Then you have sub-categories and sub-sub-categories that further fine tune the relevancy of the content making it easier for the search engines to index and for readers to find.

Unfortunately, there's no auto-pilot for fine tuning category choice. Oh its possible to automate placement into general categories, but when you really want your articles in the best possible category for indexing, you have to do it manually.

Article Submitter Pro gives you the perfect balance between auto-pilot and hands-on fine tuning. It auto fills the submission forms but gives you the opportunity to "dig deep" within each site's category menu to find the very best placement every time.

When it comes to article submission and relevancy, there's no better combination!

Beyond Security

reason #2 for using Article Submitter Pro

Let's face it, no matter where you go on the web you're bound to find spammers. Even article directories get spammed every day with articles being submitted through "blind" submitters that have little regard for the specifications and requirements of the directories.

Frustrated article directory owners spend their days weeding though these haphazardly submitted articles that end up in the wrong category, or are improperly formatted, or are missing important information like bio boxes, titles, author names, etc.

It's gotten to the point where many directory owners are starting to implement security features on their registration and submission forms to prevent automated submission software from being used to submit articles to their sites. And who can blame them?

Some of these directories get thousands of submission per week and most of them have to manually moderate each and every article to make sure it fits the relevancy of the category it was submitted in, make sure it fits the length and format requirements, and also to make sure the articles are minimally well written and informative.

Enter Image Coding!

Image Coding is that little graphic filled with distorted letters and numbers at the bottom of some sites that's designed to force human participation. No automated software or hacker program can bypass this simply because its unreadable to a computer. Only human eyes can see the image and thus copy it in the text box.

This simple security feature being used by more and more sites every day will make it easier for the directory owners to moderate their sites, which in turn will result in faster posting of submitted articles and a much shorter wait for you to get the benefits of your back links. Unfortunately, it makes most "one click" article submitters obsolete.

Article Submitter Pro on the other hand, puts you in front of each submission form and gives you the opportunity to comply with this and all other security features. Thus the directory owners will be more than happy to receive your articles, and you get the benefit of getting back links from high ranking sites that people who use other submitters can't get to.

What Do You Think?

Here's your chance to be heard on any article writing or submitting matter. Or, if you want to just comment about what other people have said here, or about the links in "Add Your Link," that's fine too.
