Article Marketing - The Fundamentals

You have a product that you want to promote. With article marketing you cannot blatently sell that product in your article, but you can talk about the benefits of buying or using such a product.

It is best to know everything you can know about the product or service. This is how you are going to write your article, with the knowledge of the product or service you want to promote with article marketing.

Description of article
Body
Resource Box

Lets get started;

Title
Make it important to your article, try to use it twice if you can.
ex: Article Marketing-Marketing with Articles

Discription
Tell them what you are going to tell them, make it enticing.
ex: Usining article marketing is a fantastic way to save money and time.
You can master article marketing in no time at all, generating income with
little effort following a few short techniques.

Body
This is where you tell them all about your product or business. Giving as
much detail as you can that is accurate and true.

Resource Box
This is where you get to tell them what you are promoting.
your sales pitch, the words that makes them want to find out more and your links to
that site.

It does not matter if you are a new marketer or a seasoned marketer. You will need to know what keywords are best for your article and how to best apply them.

You will need a few tools to figure out what your best key words for your product are. Build your list of key words, then use the keywords that best describe your product or program.

Google has a keyword finder and it is pretty good.
SEOBook Keyword is a fantastic tool
KwMap
is a good keyword finder as well.

Use them in your Title and in your body, but do not over use your key words. About 5% is a good start for keywords in your article.

You can also use keywords that are similar to the main keyword. These are words that mean the same or are similar to the main keywords.

Example: You are using training as a keyword, you could also use coaching and education.

Niche marketing is associated more with the specific needs .

Example:

Golfing is the market, you may want to zero in on "golf tips for beginners" as a niche.

Weight Loss is the market, you may want to get into the "healthy dieting"

You can find ideas for a niche in the current events, things that you are looking for answers to, by being an affiliate for online marketers by joining Clickbank, PayDotCom, Commission Junction or even just an online program that you have already become an affiliate with.

Ok, so you found a product, program, idea or a service you want to promote.

You are going to want to find out how many people are already promoting what you are thinking about.
Simply go to google and type what you are searching for in the search bar usually you will want to be specific about your search. To find out how many pages there are out there simply put your search in quotes

Example: "1953 Ford Truck Parts" I searched this on yahoo and it came back with 334 sites listed
same thing without quotes came back with 2,590,000 sites.
Now you may say to yourself that's a lot of sites, it has way too much competition.

But that is not necessarily true.

When you find that there is a lot of competition for something you want to promote, simply dig a little deeper for keywords that are not being thought of.

Let us use the phrase "dog training" when this is put in the search engine you will find millions of pages with dog training. There is no sense in using "dog training" because that market is over saturated.

But if you type" How to train your dog to stop barking" you will find less listings for those keywords.
And you may not have to dig any further for your niche phrase. But lets say we do.

I searched google for "how to teach your dog to stop barking - E-books" and it came up with only 15,000 without the quotation marks, and a big fat zero with the quotation marks. This would be a good article to write about. It could be short and sweet and leading to your sales page with reviews of E-books pertaining to your keyword title phrase.
